Deezer does not work via Chromecast

Since yesterday afternoon, my connection to Deezer via Chromecast built in has not worked. I have a streamer Pioneer n-30ae At first I thought there was a bug in the streamer but other apps- for example TuneIn normally work over Chromecast. I did everything possible to solve the problem, but without success. I restarted the streamer and modem, reset the device, uninstalled the Deezer app from my phone, and reinstalled, cleaned the cache, tried the beta version. Nothing helped.Deezer via Chromecast doesn't work. Can you please help me? The fault must be on Deezer side.  It's never happened before. Thank you

I’ve had to cancel my membership. The missing important functionality of Chromecasting for months points to a lack of resources or poor prioritisation of what is basic functionality (I mean, mucking around with Flow 2.0 when many users can’t play music on their audio system?) and subpar delivery of the service paid for. Worse though the arrogance of not updating either this forum or my support ticket says all I need to know about this company. I pity anyone who invested in it recently. A real shame as it showed so much promise and the editorial is actually pretty good. I’m disappointed rather than angry.

I’ve cancelled my subscription today too. I started as a premium subscriber in 2015, then moved to HiFi 4 years ago. It’s a real shame Deezer isn’t willing to invest in basic functionality. I moved to Tidal where I get better sound quality and streaming that actually works for the same cost.

Since 4 weeks I have the same problem unfortunately. I have the most expensive subscription to enjoy my Hi-Fi system in the best way possible. I will switch to Tidal if Deezer cannot fix this issue within the next 2 weeks.

I understand that there may be a technical problem, that is quite normal but I do not understand that it has been going on for more than 3 weeks, we are not informed what actually happened, why did it happen and when will the problem be resolved? Connectivity through Chromecast is absolutely essential for demanding users due to the lossless transfer of hifi quality. This is all the more important in the absence of Deezer Connect. Resolving this issue quickly should be a top priority, as Deezer has been missing one of its core features for more than 3 weeks. It can also confuse new users. I'm really disappointed.

Same problem here. Since around 3 weeks, I can no longer cast to my NAD C338 amplifier with built-in Chromecast. All my other apps are still working (tunein, repaio, spotify (free)). Even the Deezer test during the setting up of my  NAD C338 via Google Home assistant works! But once everything is setup, I simply cannot cast from the Deezer App anymore (where I am logged in with my paid account).
I tried all possible tricks that I found on the internet (factory reset of my NAD, empty cache and data of my Deezer App, restart my phone, reinstall the Deezer app...) None worked. 

The current poor workaround is to start the Deezer App on my phone and then cast the audio to my NAD amp via Google Home. This means that the audio is streamed from my Phone to the Chromecast, instead of Chromecast streaming the audio directly from the Deezer server on the cloud (with the max quality).  My phone is no longer used as a remote control; if I stop it, the audio stops. Listening to music means draining out my phone battery... 

I know that this is nothing really new compared to all the posts above, but I thought the Deezer developers should know that more people are affected and that it is really frustrating to find this bug the hard way (a little notification in the App would have been much appreciated as I was close to return my NAD amplifier for repair...)

After 7 years I've run out of patience and just signed up for Tidal. The UI and way it works is going to take some getting used to, but I now get the HiFi sound i signed up for on all of my systems.

I have this same problem as well. It started last week for me too. I think there is a problem with the connection between Chromecast and Deezer services. 

I have tried to cast Deezer to my Chromecast by both the app on my phone and the web-player on my laptop and neither works. In both cases I have the option to cast to my designated device (my TV via a Yamaha AV receiver) - the receiver and TV act like they have received the request because it will switch to the Chromecast input and the screen will change - but then it does nothing and the request times out. 

I know my setup works because other apps on my phone and laptop are able to cast successfully (I have tested with YouTube, Now TV and BT Sport apps) - the only application that is not casting properly is Deezer. 

I’m using a Chromecast plugged into a Yamaha RXV 479 AV receiver, feeding into an LG OLED TV. The Deezer app on the TV works fine. 

Same as all you guys, 

Got playlists and listening history or i would bin them.

Should get discounted per month for not having full service package.

I can echo this, Chromecasting to Sony STR-DN1080 has stopped functioning in the past few days. Tried from iPhone and iPad. Tidal YouTube music and Tunein are all working fine.
symptoms are that the device can be seen but upon selection just stays ‘loading’. The device does turn on.

A Google home speaker and Chromecast audio do work, so this maybe a 1st gen Chromecast issue. The Sony has Chromecast firmware 1.36.145853

 

I notice the Google home and my Chromecast audio have 1.56.

Why make the advertised features work when you can have an update to celebrate international Women’s day and just keep focusing on empty marketing?!? :clap: to Deezer. I suspect they do not even have a product reliability team.

I ran out of patience and made the switch to Tidal. I love enjoying my Hi-Fi system and this bug made that impossible. So unfortunate, especially because I like the search engine and interface of Deezer more than Tidal.

I hope Deezer will get it right soon. For now I am happy to enjoy my music again, but I am very disappointed in Deezer.

Same here, Deezer with my Jbl with Chromecast built in doesn't work (web browser, iPad, Android versions). Utterly annoying...

There is this issue from one year.

Same problem. I can no longer chromecast to my Naim Nova and mu-so systems whilst it works fine with Spotify or Tunein. 

No communication from Deezer, appalling customer service.

It’s not possible! Every day the chromecast feature goes worse. Always more slow on load tracks.
Always interrupting during play songs.
It's not possible choice track from playlist during play

Please solve this bug. These problems are on all my devices: nesthub, chromecast audio, jbl soundbar and pioneer speaker that doesn't work

Same problem here, i will cancel my subscription, spotify works perfectly. Deezer doesn’t take care of it’s customers.

Spotify doesn’t, too, but at least the service works as expected

I am still encountering this issue more than a month later. I’m going to try to request  refund for the past month of poor service, and will continue to do so until the functionality is restored. 

Let us all know how you make out with this. I get that bugs happen from time to time but when one of your defining features is HiFi music yet you support very few devices, losing support for the devices customers rely on most should absolutely be a priority. 

I have the exact same issue with an LG Chromecast built-in device for months now. It connects, I hear the sound feedback that an app has connected, but music never starts. Casting works on regular Chromecast dongle and on Google home mini. This is super annoying. I can't use deezer for my main use case..

 

Oh, and yes, every other app can cast music to that speaker...

From Thursday afternoon, I can't fully use your paid service. So far, no one from you has commented on this problem of not being able to stream losslessly via Chromecast. When will this service be operational and will I receive compensation? Chromecast is your only lossless wireless transmission. Unfortunately, it hasn't worked for four days.

I’m having the same issue. Deezer won’t connect with google speakers. They all work fine as it works when playing Spotify. Hope this gets resolved asap!

Today, it's exactly one month that doesn't work steaming via Chromecast. No information on the situation, what happened, why ,when the service will be fully operational again. nothing Just empty platitudes that the situation is known. I subscribed until the end of May and it's no use to me.

I’m also unable to use Deezer with Chromecast. I have a first generation Chromecast stick connected to my AVR and it works just fine with all other streaming services (Netflix, Youtube, Spotify, ...). When I try to cast from the Android Deezer app, the Chromecast display goes black for about 1 minute and then returns to the idle screen. The music doesn’t even start at any point during this time. I was hoping to replace Spotify with Deezer to get better streaming quality but if I can’t cast to my sound system one way or another I will have to cancel my Deezer subscription.

I’ve had Deezer for 3 months free there’s no way I can even consider subscribing it’s nothing but a nightmare it won’t connect to cromecast the app well weres a simple song history list I’ve never come across a music app so poorly designed and does not function crashes my phone and blasted my Harmon speakers throwing in 500 wats of music out uncontrollable volumes issue’s vie phone app Harmon app nearly o never again 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have the same problem. So weird that this suddenly stopped working. I really don’t want to move to Tidal, so please sort this out asap, or at least let us know what is going on (even if you do not know precisely yourselves).
