I realise that it's in Beta only, but is there a plan to include it?
I'm currently a Spotify (Premium) user and would be happy to change over to Deezer should there be the option to cast directly from the desktop app 🙂
Thank you for your feedback and apologies for the limitations
About Chrome, a few other users reported the same, so we're looking into that. In the meantime, can you update your Chrome version and restart your computer? Keep us posted and with the help of your feedback we'll improve this part of our service
I too do not have the option to stream to chromecast from chrome (newest build, on ubuntu).
Works fine on all other services I currently have access to.
Just wanted to chime in and say that for me, too, this feature will decide whether deezer will be my service of choice (disgruntled gpm user as many others) or I have to move somewhere else.
Hey
Thanks for sharing your honest feedback with us and registering your support for this feature.
I'll be passing your feedback on, hopefully we can either work with a native app or improve our casting options in the near future
Two years later…. no Chromecast?
Months later “it’s in the plans”?
I’m trying to determine if Deezer is a good Google Play Music alternative since YouTube Music sucks donkey biscuits hah…. Deezer is nice but missing a number of important features. :(
October 2020 and still no chromecast option in desktop app for Windows 10. Do you have any timeline when this will be sorted out?
Hey
Thank you for your patience and comments.
I've chased our devs to see if there's a timeline on this. I'll get back once I've got a reply
Cannot find chromecast button on Deezer app on my PC windows 10. Only on deezer web player. Is that right or hav I missed something?
lack of this feature is extremely disappointing.
I switched to Spotify from GoogleMusic 4years ago; constant app updates and unforeseen glitches repeatedly reporting “offline” have finally made me jump the Spotify ship in search of an alternative that offers HiFi options.
YouTube Music is the worst concept to happen since the Zune infrastructure.
Tidal’s app interfaces and all -round feel is just plain uncomfortable, if not lacking.
Deezer, well,
I’m very impressed with what Deezer has to offer in terms of library & personaliz-ation and am currently running through the initial 3month trial. But really, no option to Cast from the Windows app?!
Fingers crossed you guys figure out 21st-century app basics and can maintain your cool while customers continue to jump ship from your competition, just to hit this wall and begrudgingly continue their search for “the one”
See you in 3months?

pardon the preceding brevity.
it didn’t take long to find a pretty usable fix.
I’m certain it will work on Chrome though I’m using Brave, but it is similar to creating “Google app shortcuts” by:
selecting omenu>more tools>create shortcut] when on your Deezer HOME page in the browser.
name the shortcut(s) what you want. be certain to select aopen as window]
the created shortcuts will be present on your desktop as well as in your Windows Start menu under all apps>Brave apps] or what I would assume to be aall apps>Chrome apps] (all apps, rather than pinned tiles.) execute any shortcut once and right click its icon in the taskbar and select pin to taskbar] as there will not be a persistent tray icon.
the Chromecast icon will be present at the bottom between track progress bar and “repeat” icon.
works wonderfully.
not certain if this fix is already out, but rather than search I figured it would be easier to apologize and post my findings.
now re-curating my Spotify “liked songs” and similar playlists to Deezer.
tedious, but it’s an opportunity to revisit old favorites. -DZR4EVA!
Thank you ever so much for sharing this with the community

there is a glitch when using this workaround that will not allow user to add anything to "queue list" or to set anything to "play next"
-the currently playing track will skip (like CD skip) and restart at 0:00; or if nothing is actively playing, Deezer will re-initiate play of what was previously paused or even stopped.
kind of a bummer, and irritating, but not a total deal breaker
Hi
Have a look on the screenshot from the desktop app shared above for more info on how to find the Chromecast button.
Using the cast functionality from Google Chrome should be avoided if you want to enjoy your music. It has the browser decoding your music and sending that to the chromecast. Quality is bad and it will skip whenever your computer is doing some heavy work. I still don't see the chromecast icon in the windows app.
Reading back through all the comments from three years and see a lot of “soon” and “Thanks for patience” but it does appear the feature is never coming to desktop.

I totally agree with this comment. 3 years for a feature that’s available elsewhere, with false promises in the way, is just not acceptable.
I just moved from spotify to deezer to try out the service again after having left years ago, and this will be exactly the reason that once the offer I got expires, I’ll go back (again) to Spotify...
For what it’s worth, the Deezer web player shows the Chromecast icon in the playbar at the bottom for me in MS Edge, but not in the Deezer desktop app. I don’t know if it really works, as I don’t have a Chromecast device, but the icon is there.
Wake up the devs ! This feature is a must have today !
Hey
Thank you for your support and for your patience,
We hope that Chromecast could be add very soon to the desktop app, it is in fact a must have feature,
In the meantime, as it has been mentioned on this thread, you can use the web player that has already the Chromecast feature integrated,
Thanks :)
I just migrated to Deezer from Spotify, obviously without testing long enough.
And I find that there is no way to cast to a chromecast audio using the desktop app. Although this thread has been going on for at least three years? I mean seriously??? Three years?
And the company’s response is that “they hope that Chromecast could be added very soon”?
No,
How on earth did I miss this issue BEFORE I signed up with Deezer??????? I feel so stupid and angry now.
Another ex Spotify Premium user here.
+1 at missing this feature.
Using the web player workaround at the moment but I don’t like to have Deezer in a tab of a browser as I normally use 3 different browsing profiles because of work, so I quite often get lost with so many tabs.
Hello,
No news ? The desktop app seems to be completly dead no ?
Any updates? It’s been four years!
Allo ?
Yes. This is an big issue. I even bought Chromecast to be able to stream music using Deezer, but find out that only mobile app can be used to control the music.
Seems like I have to go back to Spotify for this. It has very well functioning support to control music wether it plays on your PC, Chromecast, soundbar, Bluetooth, watch etc… etc… Prices are about the same. Sound quality is good enough. Music collection seems to be also bit better at least for the music that I listen.
One big problem on Spotify is that it cannot handle big playlist (over 1300 songs or so) well when streaming to soundbar. It starts to play the songs randomly and does not follow playlist order. I expect that to work better on Chromecast devices, but haven’t tested yet.
Hi
I understand how important it is to control your music from different devices.
Improving this feature is not in our plans right now because we need to fix some bugs first.
We appreciate your patience and understanding.
