After the announcement of the new logo and the new identity of Deezer, we took the time to read all your comments and feedback in order to address your concerns and understand your feelings
Opinions are very divided and several details were pointed out, including one that came up quite often: Why did you choose a heart 💜? One comment cited “there is a more distant connection to music compared to the old logo”
The beating purple heart simply represents love and passion for music. The shapes of the logo vary to signify musical rhythms. Its movement and pulsing quality directly reflect the essence of music and the human response to the listening experience, much like a heartbeat.
Another question was “why did you decide to change everything/what is the purpose of this new identity?”
Deezer helps you “be and belong,” going beyond streaming to empower fans, artists and partners to express themselves and connect through our products and services.
Refreshing our visual identity is essential as we enter this new era for Deezer. This allows us to connect emotionally with music fans, artists and strategists through visual cues that let people know that with Deezer they can experience music, not just listen to it.
“The choice to have prioritised this change was not the best, it would have been good to strengthen the user experience rather than degrade it.”
Satisfying our users experience is indeed crucial. Development and modification choices can be complex, which means that the change itself was so significant that some bugs crept in during this transition. All have been flagged by our developers and technicians, who are already fixing these errors.
The identity change will be present in all future app updates. We hope you will adopt the new design and enjoy the new Deezer experience.
We adopt this new identity with pride, and although not everyone likes it yet, we still hope to find a place in your hearts 💜.

Hi @Pio84, thank you for your feedback; it is truly appreciated.
I'm sorry that we didn't meet your expectations.
Hi @rafaeldiniz, Oh no, that sounds like quite a mix-up!
The new logo does have a different look, and I can see how it might lead to some confusion.
Hope everything gets sorted out with your girlfriend soon!
If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to ask.
I’ve been really enjoying the UI refresh! I’ve re-joined very recently and so far, the Deezer experience is pretty awesome.
So….
You took the time to read the comments overwhelming telling you how bad the new design is but…
you have decided to maintain your misguided choices…
Tells a lot about your customer’s satisfaction focus and your management ego priorities.
At the time of this comment, your post has 11 likes, the comments telling you how bad the new logo is have 40 to 70 likes… What was the point of this new post ? We listened but decided to not care ?
The design itself is "fine", probably not better, but not worse either (except for the weird font, but that might take some time to get used to). What I really hate is the icon. When I first saw it, I thought it was part of some kind of event, but when I found out it was part of a whole new visual identity, I couldn't believe it… As others have said, it looks like a dating app.
Vojto, trošku soudnosti, redesign je opravdu nepovedený.
Jo, mohlo to dopadnout o hodně líp, ale hodně negativních ohlasů bude asi spíš kvůli tomu, že je to šok.
But we should probably be talking in English as everyone here :D
Ha! Česká komunita
Anyway - the worst part of redesign is the icon.
The new logo?? My comment is -- it’s absolutely awesome …. Cheers …
Hi @oldrecord, thank you for your positive feedback on the new logo!
We're thrilled to hear that you find it absolutely awesome. Cheers to you as well!

I was using Deezer since 2018 but I was forced to move by this UI redesign. I went for Spotify and I must say that you copied theirs look (and Twitch) but not the actual functionalities that make them superior. So it seems like total miss. Spoti is ugly as hell, that's why I was staying away from it but at least it is very functional.

Nevertheless, if you need any help in the future, please feel free to reach out.
Changing my review from 5 Star to 1 Star in Google. I've been a long-time customer. Everything went fine until somebody decided that it would be a good idea to change the multicolour icon to a boring and stupid purple heart. The purple colour dominates their website, too. They didn't even ask their customers. Now I have to see that stupid icon on my desktop everyday. Even with the appalling bad reviews they are having, with customers screaming to revert the damage done, they just don't care!! And what better way to make them understand than to cancelling my subscription….they probably won’t care either.
The new visual identity is very, very nice. Before, the looks of deezer were a bit outmoded. The new logo, although the heart shape is a widely used form for brands nowadays and hence, communicates confidence and at the same time is relaxed. It is not an imposing sign, that signals authority such as many other tech companies do, and this is what I like most about it. It’s much more kind. And the font mirrors this self-confidence. Great work, congratulations!

We know that women love hearts. It’s understandable.
You seem to be a rather inconsiderate specimen, Albert.
Assuming the gender of a fellow user (hint: wrong), then leaving a sexist remark to dequalify a judgement. Oldschool, but yet pure idiocy.
Thanks for your feedback @sheeple it’s very much appreciated.
@Albert.Ochoa please refrain of those type of comments as they are sexist and against our code of conduct… Thanks
It really is bad. And rather than adding new things, they took stuff away! You can't see the album release date anymore by swiping the album cover. Instead it just makes the album cover slightly smaller… wtf is even the point??
No you’re able to have it by tapping the cover. It’ll get bigger And if you swipe the cover you can see the release date also when you scroll down the year it came out.

Love this we need more comments like this! Deezer Fam.
The new logo?? My comment is -- it’s absolutely awesome …. Cheers …
I love this comment and we need more like this Deezer Fam For Life!
Mods, just go back to ignoring the comments. These painfully fake comments are beyond pathetic.
Hi @MyloXyloto, let's remember that diverse opinions are what make the Deezer Community thrive.
It's important to respect each other's perspectives, even if they differ from our own.
Let's keep the conversation constructive and inclusive!

Do I need to remind you that Deezer itself made fun of the ones disliking the new logo and totally ignored all feedback?
Thank you very much for explanation. I had real life episodes of mental health unfortunately though, it helps to know what it means now.
I have to be honest, the pulsating Purple Heart is not my favorite, but at the same time, two women in my family started using Deezer after the change, so what do I know? :)
