Share as many rockin' tunes as you want! We’re talking all subgenres: alternative, garage rock, glam rock, grunge, hard rock, heavy metal, indie rock, punk, soft rock, melodic rock, and more.

I'll kick things off:

My sister bought a single by Cheap Trick with the song "I Want You to Want Me", and that was the first rock song that made me realise I’m a rock fan for life.

Now it’s your turn! What’s your rock story? 🎤🎶

No time limit – you can continue to post songs in the "old" threads even if we are currently on a new topic.

Don’t forget to give a thumbs up to your favourites!

Tip: Share songs with an image to make your post stand out!

Here’s a killer quote to keep the rock spirit alive:

If you think you are too old to rock 'n roll, then you are “

Hell yeh fantastic topic ! Well ..I'm biased so .…

My first ever song that made me fell in love with rock and metal is Crawling by Linkin Park .

I was 15 and my friend told me about this cool new band and put Crawling on . Since then I want into more and more heavier stuff but I'll never forgot the song that started it all for me . I didn't only fell in love with rock amd metal but fell in love with music . After that song I  couldn't stop listening to new stuff . I wanted more and never got tired with music .

ROCK ON 🤘

It's been a long time. I was still in high school and hadn't yet found what I really liked in terms of music. As long as it wasn't popular music. So I listened to Metallica, Nirvana and Pearl Jam back then. Good, but not what I was looking for.

Then my childhood memory came back. I once thought the music of the Transformers-The Movie was really good in the 80s. But was this kind of music still being made? The answer was YES.

So my first renewed acquaintance was with the band Lillian Axe. And since then I prefer to listen to this kind of music. Wonderful!

This time a song that made me fell in love with Metal .

I went to a music store thinking about getting the live show by evanescence that came out on 2004 . The seller suggested I'll listen to a new album just came out by a band called Nightwish . They srarted the album and Oh my ! I got hooked ! I needed that CD right then ad there . The song from this album which made me go into Metal was "I wish I had an angel" ,fantastic Gothic metal song .

Oh yessss. I consider I wish I had an angel” one of their best songs.

Although I still like Nightwish, I like the old Nightwish better.

Same ! Up to Once all their albums were masterpiece .

Then I discovered the band Kiss

I totally agree 100%. There are so much perfect songs on those albums with Tarja.

Floor Janssen is very good, Anette Olzon a bit, but their music changed too much.

I have The End Of An Era on DVD and it is amazing!

You know that I like hard rock and metal, but somehow Kiss never made an impact with me.

But, then you discovered Kiss and then?

End of Era is one of my fav live shows ever and usually I’m not into watching live shows on DVD

Another song shaped my taste in music is Bodies by Drowning Pool . I used to jam that song a lot .

For me, all started with Appetite for Destruction and Paradise City

I’m not a huge rock fan, but I still have some songs that I enjoy listening to.

One of them is  "Animal Crackerst" by  Steven Tyler
