Oh yes...I’m a big rock and metal fan...so...this is my favorite rock playlist on Deezer:

DOKKEN - new studio album "Heaven Comes Down"

1991 is an unforgettable year for music lovers, I selected some of the best rock albums that changed things and made the year revolutionary.

1-Mariah Carey had 3 songs on the global charts when suddenly… BAM! Nirvana came with  Nevermind  and changed the music industry! Now is the new era of rock! 🤘🏼

2 - More Than Words by Extreme was very popular in 1991, but we needed more than that! R.E.M released  Out of Time with Losing My Religion  as the first single, just in time to top the album sales charts for 183 weeks! 🤘🏼

3 - Color Me Badd reached number 2 on the world charts with I Wanna Sex You Up, but the world needed a little more magic. Maybe a little more blood too. Red Hot Chilli Peppers also reached No. 2 on the charts during the same year with  Blood Sugar Sex Magik. 🤘🏼

4 – Bryan Adams was everywhere singing the power ballad Everything I Do I Do It For You. But Metallica revolutionised the market with their self-titled Metallica album (better known as the “black album”) and songs like  Nothing Else Matters or Enter Sandman

Now, all that's left is to add some classic bands and their respective albums to this list: Pearl Jam with Ten, Soundgarden and Superunknown, Alice in Chains with Dirt and Stone Temple Pilots with their album Core.

These bands are the pioneers of grunge and brought the movement to the rest of the world. 

That being said… my favourite rock band from the 90’s was Guns N’ Roses (also my first concert) and many years later, I still enjoy with Pearl Jam :)

90' was really revolutionary decade in rock .All these bands was the pioneers of grunge like you say ,and the rest is history .

@Jaime. oh yesss...Nirvana, Metallica, the Red Hot Chilli Pepers and Pearl Jam...magical in those days. Totally new and the world was waiting for something else than a Bryan Adams (not that he is bad, he also has magical songs).

We had to wait for it, but there it is: The new album of the Austria band Serenity. It was released yesterday. If you like your rock a bit more metal-like with symphonic elements, listen to Serenity.

They became a more stable group with a consistent line-up in 2004, when it also began using more progressive and power influences than earlier. They have defined their genre with more melodic and symphonic metal elements.

Most of their music focuses on important historical figures and events, including Sir Francis Drake, Marco Polo, Galileo, Beethoven and Napoleon. 

I haven’t listened to this yet. Dokken is “old skool” hard rock and a bit of a legend in their gerne. But the reviews aren’t that good.

I don't care about reviews .I can decide if song or album is good or not . I like old school rock and this album is good. Hope you @awesomemac  will like them too !

I also don’t care about reviews and I’m going to give the album a spin this weekend.
