You can now sort by title, date and duration from the android app and web browser.

On PC (web browser) just click on top either on EPISODE, ADDED or the clock.

On the android app click on the double arrow on the right below the heart.

After closing the android app forgets that I selected to show and play podcasts in the from-old-to-new order. With my Learn Spanish podcast it is not convenient to hear lesson 8 and than lesson 7 and so on while driving…

I hope you can fix this.

Hi @Rudi & @Anja

more than 3 years ago (that was even before Covid!) you told us that you discuss this internally.
Not much has happened on this topic since then, right? 😐

Podcasts are not usable like that, even though they would have so much potential (for you!).

Primarily, it's a simple request to change the default sorting from "oldest to newest".

May I ask you to reopen this discussion and stubbornly stay on topic?

@Hugo Ballée , this seems to work in the web browser (hurray!). In the android app it doesn’t… You can reverse the order with the double arrows, as you mentioned, but the app keeps playing the episodes in the wrong (reversed chronological) order. That is double stupid… 🙄.

This problem keeps me away from using deezer for podcasts AT ALL. And I think this goes for a lot of people. So why is this so hard to fix?

Still here, asking for the same thing.

Artist requests don't always play artist songs (ie similar genre) and we just want an order toggle to shift dates on podcasts.

We can reorder our online shopping how we like, surely we can reorder our tracks/episodes?

Good evening,

I there any update or resolution to this issue?

For years now I have used Deezer for music but other apps for podcasts as it's just not possible when driving or working to play around with my phone to effectively 'skip back' each time an episode ends to play the next episode.

Changing the episode order does nothing. Oldest to newest, newest to oldest, they both play newest to oldest regardless.

Why is there not a user setting for which order a customer wishes to listen to podcasts? Please can this be fixed as this app is more of a burden than it is

useful. Those '3 free months of Spotify' discount codes I keep getting are looking more and more appealing.

I want a refund so bad right now.

please, work on this Deezer. I would like to hear podcasts of news in chronological order without doing any change manually.

This is honestly extremely frustrating… basic functionality, should be prioritized in their product improvement..

I am a new Deezer used… and I confirm that this is annoying and frustrating. Sad to say but Spotify user experience was far better under this perspective

This thread is now nearly a decade old and @Deezer @Anja we still can’t play podcasts in chronological order

I'd like to add my voice to this. Unbelievable that it's taken 7 years to not solve this problem! You can sort the episodes from old to new on your screen but it still plays them backwards from new to old!!!

I thought I was losing my mind! This is really basic functionality that should have been in place from day 1…

OK, after reading through this thread again carefully I see that you can change the sort order now and that seems to work for playback in the correct direction. It’d be nice if the podcast page remembered your sort order when you come back to it from elsewhere (and maybe scroll position(?), the one I’m on right now has almost 650 episodes(!) and I jump around from new to old to new again depending on which history topic I’m interested in at the moment).

Bumping this! Crazy it still hasn't been resolved
