Limit/ban explicit content 😕

A profanity filter would be awesome. Then I could listen at work.

Is it possible to get the radio edits of songs. My children like to listen to current songs e.g. From the top 40 or new hits uk, but often they have swearing in. My children are 5, 6 and 9 and want to hear the songs which we hear on the radio but I don't want them listening to all the swearing on some of them.

thanks

@louiseromans please check this post and don't forget to vote! 🙂

Please please please bring in a filter to filter out explicit songs.

In this day and age where safeguarding our children online is paramount it is ridiculous that this simple filter cannot be implemented.

Get with it Deezer!! Radio edits please!

I find it very strange that no streaming service offers a radio version.

The songs obviously exist or the radios wouldnt be able to play them.

I constantly check other streaming services and the first to offer this will have my business.

I prefer deezer over spotify, so i really hope deezer get there first.

I would love to have this option too.

I voted for this idea.

But seriously - how can a streaming service NOT have such a feature? This is really beyond me. I tried Spotify (certainly Deezer's biggest competitor) and they seem to have such a feature. Amazon? Well, their music app is the biggest pile of horse *explicit* I have ever come across. So that's not counting.

@Justin.xg it's already on there, just search for "[song] radio edit" or similar.
And don't forget to vote for this idea if you want a feature that filters censored music for you 🙂

There has to be an option to block all explicit music and play radio versions automatically. Searching is not something people want to do while they are listening to "radio" or "flow".

Unfortunately I can't even see any labels indicating a song has explicit content until I hear an f-bomb drop. This is very unfortuante and having no filters or indication of explicit content has me going back to Spotify. At least they have a bold label next to songs saying "explicit", so I know what songs to steer away form when I'm at work, on my adroid app I see nothing of the sort with Deezer. I will not be going past my trial period because of this.

I won’t be renewing. I want to simply go to settings and tick a box to exclude ALL explicit content. I don’t want to be driving with the kids and heAR some slag rapper sing about her vagina or some lowlifes from the hood praising gun and gang culture.

Google music has this, and until you get it I won't be switching.

I've been loving Deezer. Within a week of converting to a family account so everyone can enjoy it, we've got a real issue of not being able to limit songs with explicit lyrics for my 5 and 9 year old children. Please fix this ASAP so we don't need to look elsewhere and can all enjoy this together!

I've had a Spotify family account since it was first introduced. Recently, my 9-year old has been listening to "Rap Caviar" playlist that had 100% Explicit songs. I want to stop him from listening this, but Spotify doesn't have ANY parental controls. None.

So I'm looking at Deezer, and as visually similar it is to Spotify, it also doesn't have any parental controls. I've tried out creating a child "profile" but it doesn't filter out any explicit songs.

Additionally, even if it could, it would appear that it's a matter of switching back and forth between accounts within the same logged in app. So my kid can simply use my grown-up account hear F-bombs.

Need to continue to look for other options and I will not renew my subscription.

[quote user="The::s::Stephenson's"]When can I limit explicit content on Deezer?
This is seriously something that any company should priorities. Noone is asking songs to be removed or any form of sensorship. Just wanting the ability to use simple services like flow with having to hover by my phone incase the next song that plays is explicit. Loving my experience so far with deezer but if I can get family friendly content through other providers that's where I'll be going.

When will deezer be getting censored music like ? All the major services have it, but deezer! On the trial version now, but lack of filter is a no go.

It's quite annoying to play an album and then find out it's the censored version as there's no way of differentiating between releases unless you actually play them. Adding tags to differentiate between clean and explicit releases would be a very nice change.

For example these two releases are exactly the same except one of them is the clean version and the other is the explicit version. At present there is no way to tell the two albums apart.

Just having a small icon or something that would help identify release like below (screenshot from itunes store) would be a very nice visual improvement.

I would strongly support having a filter. Listening in the car or steamed through Sonos around the house is not good with young kids. I am going to be explaining what f* means pretty soon to a 5 year old.

I really think, that it will be easier for users to ubderstand which version of album or song is in front of them, if you will mark somehow albums and songs with "E" or explicit maybe.

I'd support this - I often listen to Deezer and my 7 year old son is nearby. There are too many artists/bands that use swear words or unsuitable language in music (even if they are a band/artist whose core target are kids. It would be great to be able to have an option to block bad language - without having to pay an extra £5 for the privilege.
