Crossfade, if correctly implemented, is NOT equal with gapless @ 0 sec.
Gapless is NOT customizable, whereas crossfade must be.
Gapless should be enabled by default, even without user consent (for certain albums / track transitions and split mixes). All the user should customize/activate is crossfade, gapless should just be there when it needs to be. The gapless option should probably be exposed (using a GUI feature) for the uploader/maintainer, between tracks, and should not be overrode by any crossfade option available to the listener.
Ah, strange. I only tested it on the non-HTML5 version, where it is available, but can't find it in the new version either. Let me check with the team if there are any plans 🙂 Thanks for pointing it out 😉
Hey, so it's indeed still work in progress. It's probably not going to be implemented before autumn, but we are definitely working on it 🙂 I'll keep you posted
Hi,
I just wanted to know how to set my app in order to be able to listen to a full album without the break between the tracks.
Couldn't find where to set it.
Thanks, Ran
I want to crossfade the songs from my party playlist so that each songs fades into the next smoothly - as if there were DJ mixing the tunes. How do install this? I m on Android.
Txs 4 your help!

Hi Marine, Crossfade is not yet implemented on Android. It is available to some Beta user under labs, but not fully for all users. Any chance you can log in on an iphone? It's fully implemented on ios.
Orchestral concerts, Enigma, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield and any other DJ mix albums like Global Underground, Nubreed, Ministry of Sound, Cream, Cafe del Mar, Buddha Bar and so on have taken musical flow from a 5-minute journey to a continuous hour and more.
I like Deezer's Flow algorithm, it serves well to my palate, even music that's new to me. Well done.
But from time to time, I would like to have a change of taste and get the magical flow from other sources like the equally genius artists associated with the names mentioned above. They have put together albums that flow continuously from track to track but sound choppy on Deezer because Deezer doesn't have gapless playback.
So if only Deezer has gapless playback, I wouldn't be looking beyond Deezer.
Well, i'm sad to see this is still a problem.
I tried Deezer years ago, but switched to Spotify after the free month just because of no gapless support, even that i liked the Deezer interface more.
They could have had my money for 5 years now but didn't.
What is really embarrassing is the text in the Deezer advertising for hifi.
"The music you love, as it's meant to be heard" !..... say what! full of gaps...
Would love to give this music streaming full marks but it falls down in one very significant area for me. Deezer puts a pause between tracks which makes listening to live albums and albums where one track feeds into another. It makes for a very frustrating listen. If this could be fixed I'd give 5* and remain a paid up subscriber. I know a certain Swedish streaming service doesn't have this problem. Is this just French eccentricity...
Hi, is there an option to prevent pause between tracks in a live album? Now it is disturbing, because the tracks are normally following up live. Thank you
Hoi,
