Hello, i recently started using Deezer instead of Spotify for ethical reasons and, so far, the only thing i really miss about Spotify is Jam sessions. In a long distance relationship or for parties it is mega useful. I am not considering Shaker as an alternative, it is a totally different feature. I heard that Deezer is recommending it as a replacement but it is really not.
It would be a killer feature for Deezer because it is the only thing that is making me consider going back to spotify, and some friends of mine already have. Thanks a lot for reading :)

Hey there @Gauthier Leclercq

While Shaker and collaborative playlists, as well as other features like music quizzes, have considerably enhanced deezer’s ability to share and enjoy music with others, I agree that Jam is different. I don’t find myself needing that function, but we all listen to music differently.

There's obviously a very valid reason you’re leaving Spotify, so perhaps you will weigh the benefits deezer offers versus the Jam feature that you were used to.

I agree with many of the reasons I see people leaving Spotify for, and I think it is important that we consider these things when supporting businesses.

Whatever you decide, thanks for giving deezer a try. There are trade-offs with every service and we all need to find what works for us.

Best of luck wherever you land.

Hi! Yes sorry I should have made clear that deezer is already very cool and full of  amazing features, very convincing already. My point was just that this is THE feature that is missing for me and for some on my surroundings.

I did the exact same switch from Spotify to Deezer recently and I'm also really missing Spotify's Jam sessions. I hope Deezer will implement something similar at some point.

The Jams feature is a huge reason why a lot of people won’t switch to deezer surprisingly. It is such an amazing feature though and Deezer would definitely benefit from adding it. Being able to listen along with friends anywhere is so much fun! I really really do miss Jams

Honestly, Deezer really needs to implement Jams if they want to capitalize on people migrating from Spotify. The Jams feature is an extremely social and enjoyable feature. No reason not to mimic it.

I second this functionnality. I see it has been postponed but do we have a date when this may be implemented ?

I haven't seen a date or even a confirmation that this functionality is coming. I've seen Deezer admins mark it to "not for now" but without any further explanation.

I also moved from spotify, and used the Jam feature quite frequently, i've already sent a ticket support to request it, but just bumping to get more eyes on this. We love using jam to listen to songs in the car and at home on the sound system, and not having to rely on only one device.

And No, shaker is not even close to jam.

+1 that this shouldn't be marked “not for now.”

I switched to Deezer because Spotify is evil, but realistically Deezer is neutral at best so your position is not that secure. Still considering switching to Qobuz - only reason I didn't initially is bad reviews of their recommendations algo and lack of features, but have since decided to shift my music listening patterning away from algo recs and generated playlists so realistically there's not much keeping me here. An actual equivalent of jams would be a factor to tempt me to stay, and would also make it much easier to convince several of my friends to switch too.

I absolutely agree with this, I’ve just switched from Spotify for similar reasons and I am really missing jams, my whole family has swapped so it’s a feature we used to use a lot (especially in the car when deciding what music to play) so I’d really like to see this implemented at some point.
