"Add to Queue" and "Play next" available via Chromecast

Is there a ETA for this, waiting for a long time now.

Well, more than a year ago we were told that they were already working on it. Since it’s still not working I’d guess that “never” is the best answer for now.

We've been working on it, properly, from last year - for large months and we're still on it. Some of the required mechanisms have already been added to our mobile apps. But it requires more development. Thank you for your understanding 

What functionality is to be expected in the coming period?

A brand new cast integration @Nyrob   we've been developing it for quite some time, stay tuned!

A search in the support section of Deezer shows 161 topics related to issues with casting. And still Rudi makes the same comments for a year now in every topic, most common phrase "We're almost there". Makes you look like a joke. Deezer seems to lack the capabilities to solve these problems where others have already implemented this a long time ago. Maybe you should hire some real tech folk instead of these amateurs.

I appreciate your feedback. I've been honest throughout, we are indeed working on this integration for several months - almost a year. I agree that it doesn't look good and it's actually frustrating for us as well.

We want to provide the best experience possible, but we also know our size and the resources we have. And about the integration, we're using Google's latest protocol, CAF. It's an invest for the future, to avoid the numerous issues we've had so far. I hope you understand. Thank you for your patience and support 

Can you queue songs while casting now?
I couldnt do that before.

I guess new chromecast integration has been released as it works well now. However I can’t see ‘Play next’ / ‘Add to queue’ option still. Any news about that?

Hi @Jonas Ancher, hi @Dawid_m we are sorry but the two features ‘Play next’ / ‘Add to queue’ are still not available via Chromecast. However, the responsible team said they want to work on that, too

Well, the  mentioned "play next / add to queue” where the main reason for asking for better chromecast support. So, even now we have to vote for commitment from the team to integrate this functionality! I've drawn my conclusion, switching to Youtube Music with all the chromecast support you can wish and more .

Hi, we are still waiting for this feature. It’s so frustrating as I’m using Deezer only on Chromecast and cannot just add single song to queue.

Hi. With Google killing Play Music and YouTube Music being a pile of sh*t. I'm hunting for an alternative. If I could have half decent casting with queue editing that would be amazing.

Currently on the free premium trial so I guess if you have it in a month then I'll keep it!

Like so many others, I’m currently looking into possible replacements after Google killed Play Music. And decent Chromecast support is a must-have. So telling people for two years that you will have such a basic feature really soon now shines a very bad light on your service. Since I have implemented similar features on Chromecast myself I know for a fact that this is not something you need two years for to implement. Thus, my guess is that you don’t really care about your customers using Chromecast. Good to know.

This is become even a bigger joke than it was for years and years. I thought @Nyrob was a bit blunt calling you guys incapable a year ago, but it now really seems that he was right.

Deezer should be really ashamed of themselves for not being able to change the queue once you’re casting. You are the laughing stock on aal social gatherings where someone might suggest a song to play next; the only reaction we all can give now is “That’s a far too advanced feature for Deezer.”

Yet we all pay a premium price, for such a lousy product.

I might look into publicly shaming you and advising people to never start using Deezer, but you are way ahead of me. I’m not blaming this on @Rudi , but he makes this look even worse with all fake promises.

PS: there used to be 161 issues regarding Chromecast, but that has gown to 236 in one year. You might want to hire somebody if you don’t have the skills to stream music.

Hi, just another voice from me saying that this is a deal breaker for me.  I need to be able to have music on, and then add a song on the fly without stopping and resetting what I am playing. 

Put simply, a basic functional requirement of my music streaming service is an ability to manage the play queue while casting  OR have a play queue running on an Android device connected to my amp whose queue I can control from remote tablet.
