Using Deezer on Fire TV.
I would like to have music playing, but have the screen not distracting.
(Ideal would be that the Deezer app sleeps to black but continues to play. It's annoying having lyrics on screen and other flashing items while listening to music in the background!)
Separately, the app stops playing any music if no button on the Fire TV remote is pressed for about 15 minutes.
This does NOT happen using Spotify app on Fire TV - so it's not a feature of Amazon's fire TV plug in devices
(This is NOT a TV issue as this sleep behaviour is caused by your app, not the Fire TV, nor the TV it's plugged into)
So: can you create a better approach to 'sleep' on the Deezer app for Fire TV sticks?
If you think this already exists, can you tell me where to find it in your app's settings.

I complained about this approximately 3 years ago and it's never been fixed. Deezer have stated they are working on a new batch of app for smart tvs and amazon etc but it's been a while since I've heard on timescales etc.

I'm a "Deezerhead" (fanboy) and just love music! (Please note even though I love all things Deezer I do not work for Deezer and therefore cannot assist with account issues etc.)

Thank you for your feedback. It was only recently (this year) that we hired a dedicated team to work on new TV apps. We're sorry your experience wasn't what you expected.

Hi just wondering if any progress has been done on this topic...it really sucks that after 15-20 minutes the music stops…

Tried Deezer on Amazon Fire TV, and while the app is beautiful, and Karaoke on the big screen is cool, the sleeping function isn’t.
I am trialling Deezer and have just run into this Fire TV issue. Totally amazed it has not been addressed after at least 3 years. I like the Deezer quality but this issue is a show stopper so no Deezer for me!
I too am trialing this website. It seems that perhaps Linus have provided an influx of traffic they weren’t prepared for.
I have a Fire TV and while I haven’t tried it on Fire TV yet the expectation would be that the site can provide at least some sort of screensaver as per industry standard from decades a go. Spotify can provide a blank screen, but I don’t know the intricacies of turning off a screen while maintaining network audio output.

As far as i know Deezer isn’t supported any longer ob fire tv devices.

I knew that wad coming as soon as amazon started to promote its music service more heavily.
