I’ve noticed, that the Home page, including suggestions on New releases, playlists, artists and pretty much 90% of the whole page changes to a certain genre, once you’ve listend to a couple of tracks of a “different genre, than usual”.
I listen to lots of DNB and wanted to revisit some numetal albums from my long gone youth. Since that day my whole Deezer startpage is only about numetal and pretty much nothing else. Even the new releases subpage is mostly just metal. At least the “notifications” remained somewhat to my usual taste of music.
Maybe the algorithm could chill a bit more and not go all-in once i change the genre for a few songs. I’ve had the same issue when other members of my family accidentally logged into my profile and started listening to their music, messing up my home page for weeks.
