Allow users to change the volume by scrolling over the volume bar

Similar to spotify, allow users to scroll over the volume bar to increase volume in larger increments.

I’ve reported about web player, I see here Windows, I hope they’re the same for this feature.

It’d be nice to add upvote from the merged idea author (like me) too.

Been missing this feature for a long time.
While you’re at it, please make it so you can change volume via scrolling when you hover only over the loud speaker icon.

I find the whole hover-over speaker, then hit the volume bar and not go too far, else everything closes again pretty fidgety anyway. Would prefer, if Volume bar always showed like in Spotify but that’s up to you.

But yeah, if scrolling while hover-over Speaker works then I’m fine with it. 👌

I’ve tried to implement this via User Script, but changing `input[type=”range”]` value doesn’t affect actual volume level. Also it doesn’t change scrollbar width, it can be set separately, but still the volume level is not changing. And I don’t know how to do this correctly from JavaScript.

I really miss this feature.
