Question

Why are some albums hidden in the "more" section?

When I look at the discography of an artist (sorted by type), only some albums are showing up, unless I click on "more albums" where I'll find the rest (minus the ones on the first page). Why are they separate? It makes no sense.

Could you perhaps show us a screen example? Or, if needed, share an artist so we can follow along with you.

Here you go! First screenshot is the albums first shown, then second screenshot is the albums after clicking on "More albums".

I don’t know the band Against Me!, but I first checked on my iPhone and when I look them up, I get the same result as you.

So I was curious to see how it works with other bands or artists.

With the band Toto, I got the same as you:

I saw several albums, and when I tap “More albums” at the bottom, I see even more.

However, the albums shown under “More albums” aren’t official Toto albums.

When I look at Iron Maiden’s albums, I can also see that all the regular albums are displayed normally, and only the separate or unusual releases appear under “More albums”.

So I suspect something has gone wrong with Against Me!, and that the albums currently listed under “More albums” should actually be shown among the regular albums.

You could contact Deezer Support to report this, or perhaps @Jaime.Deezer  could pass it on?

Hi @zambay28 !

Albums may appear in Deezer search results but be missing from an artist's main discography page due to metadata errors, licensing restrictions, or how the app filters and displays content. These "hidden" albums are usually still in the catalog but are not officially attached to the primary artist profile.

For example .
The record label or distributor may have incorrectly tagged the album, resulting in it not being properly linked to the main artist profile.
Different albums by the same artist can have different owners (labels or publishers). If a specific rights holder has not granted permission to stream certain content, it may be unavailable or partially blocked, even if the rest of the discography is there.
Licensing deals vary by country. An album might be available in one region but not another.
etc.etc.
