Recently started Deezer.

I've been playing with settings and music quality. It doesn't seem to change anything with the quality.

I am using it through my chord mojo and the bit rate is the lowest you can get. Similar to Spotify.

When connected to amazon music, the neil young app or onkyo the rate jumps up.

Feel a little disappointed at the moment.

Hi @Christopher Smith,

I’m wondering, are you using Deezer Free or Deezer Premium?

Changing the audio quality only affects the next track, not the currently playing track. So you have to either skip back or forth after changing your quality setting. You can check the currently active audio quality in the play queue on the album cover in the lower left corner.

Thanks for reply.

I've listened to many tracks with the highest settings in place. Done many re starts. Left to play playlists. Checked everything.

I've read old topics and deezer don't allow external DACS more than the basic bit rates.

In case you want High Resolution audio quality better than CD quality, i.e. more than 16 bit resolution and 44.1 khz sample rate, Deezer does not offer it. The bit rate of the HiFi streaming setting is up to 1,411 bps, as it is in lossless FLAC format. Spotify uses lossy Ogg Vorbis or AAC, so it is not the same as Deezer.
