So I want to be able to just hit pause on the music, move the slider to 0 seconds and have it just sit there until I hit play. Seems this is impossible. If its paused, moving the slider will auto play. It should just stay paused until I hit play again. This is insanely annoying.
Is it a setting somewhere?

Nope, same behavior after uninstalling and reinstalling the app (latest from the link you have).
I think I will move to Qobuz. I see no benefit to Deezer at this point. Price of Qobuz in Canada is like $2 more a month and they offer more options and better apps.
