This feature - some of us find very useful when trying to build a listening queue - keeps disappearing from app and web browser.

so if i’m listening a song and want the next song to be a specific one, how the F do i do that?

thanks,

best to your product managers !

Hi @Octavian.Matei

Are you listening an specific playlist or Flow, for example? 🤔

Because on Flow is not possible to decide an specific to to play next.😐

Take care.

hey,

seen that damn button (play next) in some screens (when browsing playlists i believe).

but it isn’t there when you search for say specific songs

search tune 1 > click - play

search tune  2  > play next (or ad to queue) , after the one that’s playing ends.

when searching, the option is missing (not flow)

if searching for songs one after another, can’t build a playlist with this option missing. you can play just one song at a time.

thanks,

best!

“It’s a feature, not a bug!” according to Deezer. 😉 Searching for a track and starting it from the search automatically creates a Mix with similar tracks (shown greyed out on the left side of the track name in the web player and desktop app). This means you cannot add another track yourself to the queue similar to starting Flow. I once created an idea to bring the old behaviour back or at least make it switchable, but no dice.

wondering if Any of Deezer Team really uses their product

Dudes, i’m searching for something i want to hear,  not something you’d like to generate for me

christ . perhaps songs are not related , french tools

So spotify it is, good thing they launched HiFi too

Best Deezer!

By the way, if you already have something in your play queue that is not a mix (e.g. the last album you heard), you can add new songs to it.

And as far as I know, Spotify HiFi is not available yet.

Please add this function to the app, it’s just stupid not to have it. I only use the shuffle option (which is now removed from the android version, fix this too) and it sucks when I want to add some song to what I am listening to and I simply can’t.

Why is this feature missing from the web app ? I search for a song and want to add it to my current playlist, which is not flow or some other premade mix/playlist. It makes no sense. I want to create a playlist by searching for songs. Terrible UX by deezer

Are you casting your audio to a Chromcast? There’s a 5+ year old bug for that:

Hi @Alecgr, thank you for reaching out.

I wanted to inform you that the shuffle option is now accessible again.

I hope you enjoy using it.

This is so incredibly stupid!

I selected one song to play, then go to try to play another one from a different album (a basic function of any of these kinds of apps) and the play next and add to queue buttons are gone.

And you’re telling me this is by D E S I G N ?

Designed for who? No one asked for some automix BS to take over and disable basic features.

I have never intended to have automix on and yet it keeps f-ing up my ability to do what I want on the platform. Additionally there is no indication of automix being on (or that you are about to trigger it by clicking a song in the search results rather than on the album page) so it’s like this sneaky feature where you hope we don’t notice it’s on or something.

On top of that there is no way that I know of to turn it off in settings. (please let me know if there is)

Absolutely agree this feature is broken! Why should we need workarounds in order to get out of a mix and be able to add to the queue?! In trying to figure this out, I read on Reddit of a user that has a 3 second song on a playlist, so they can start the playlist and then add songs to queue - so ridiculous! The only way I’ve figured to get out of an “automix” is to start my favorites (say on shuffle) and then I can add to the queue. Here’s a thought - how about just make “automix” an option, rather than the default when you play a track?!?!? I came to Deezer from Spotify so I could shuffle my favorites - a seemingly obvious feature that Spotify lacks. With the realization the queuing is such a hassle in Deezer, I’m still in search of a better music service.

Indeed. Queues are a necessity of you want to have a nice evening with friends listening music.

Throw a tablet on the table and help yourself.

Nobody wants to be the dj for the night, each time clicking play when a song is finished.

Please Deezer fix this.

How is this not a basic implemented functionality is beyond me. How about implementing the things people keep asking about instead of smugly declaring that it’s designed like that? Apparently it’s not designed well if people keep asking about a needed feature that’s absent here, but available on other services.
