So, some short background.. I very often dont have WiFi available so I've taken full advantage of the download playlist option. Now recently I received a warning message from my device that I was running out of available space, considering I have a 256gb device, that was concerning so upon investigation, realised it was because Deezer has ONLY been downloading tracks on HIFI quality. I reviewed all my settings and it's not set to HIFI quality download at all nor has it ever. I've deleted the app, reinstalled it, adjusted all settings and attempted to redownload a test playlist. Its still downloading tracks on HIFI quality despite being set to standard and basic.

Help 🥺... Please.. can anyone tell me what to do?

Hello there @aptric

What device and OS are you on? I’m reaching out to some folks to see if we can get you an answer.

Hi.

Based on my friend @GropplerZorn request I have checked on my device as well and didn't have this issue. The downloaded data is in standard quality and not HIFI.

I use Xiaomi Redmi note 8 Pro

Android 11

Deezer version is 7.0.22.1, beta

Maybe @aptric should tell us which version of the deezer app is installed. Everything else leads to nothing.

Thanks for helping! 7.0.25.75

@aptric

You probably mean 7.0.21.75, right?

Yes typo,  sorry 😅

Hi @aptric!

Thanks for your help guys @Noam Asulin @dee_dirk @GropplerZorn really appreciate it! 👊🏼

That’s something our developers are checking. 🙌🏽

For now, double check this article, we suggest to use standard for the time being as then it shouldn’t jump to HiFi, but if it does then please contact Customer Care tea they will check your account to try to find more info about that.🕵🏼

Take care.

Thank you all
