Why is this not possible given that both devices are on the same WiFi?

It's easier to use phone as a remote than a tv remote when trying to type name of the song, or find anything specific in playlist.

Works for YouTube android/tv apps so I don't think this technology is something unachievable for Deezer as well.

Anyone else having the same issue?

(I'm not looking for Chromecast option, I would like direct app to app communication)
