Auto play in vehicle

My phone used to connect and resume play when I got into the vehicle.  Now it doesn’t.  I have to open the app and press Play.  Is this a setting?  How do I make it auto play?

Was there another update except the deezer app last time? Grom Audio Firmware is up to date?

Have you tried restarting all devices and pairing phone and Grom Audio again?

Phone connects to Grom just fine.  Phone calls work, Google maps works, Deezer works.  Deezer used to start playing as soon as the phone connected to the vehicle(s).  Now I have to open the app and press Play.  Second vehicle is Premier.  All firmware up to date.  Yes, phone has been removed and re paired to vehicle.

Hello @AVXlnce,

I’m assuming that you’re running Android Auto on your Grom Audio Car Kit - if this is the case, you can go to your phone’s Android Auto Settings, scroll down until you find the settings below:

  • Make sure both “Start Android Auto while locked” and “Automatically resume media” are both turned ON.
  • Go to your Grom Audio Settings (in your car), find an option to enable Android Auto to start automatically, make sure it’s turned ON.

I’m not using Android Auto.  That created a number of other issues.  Straight Bluetooth connection to the Grom system.  Everything worked just fine until recently.

Most of the people on the forum, including the last person to try to help you, are not employees, but fellow subscribers such as yourself.
 

They’re not here “on the clock,” they check in when they can and when they feel like browsing the forum. Sometimes they will offer a suggestion and leave it at that. I know there are many times I’ve made what I feel are helpful suggestions, and I don’t revisit the thread again.
