Recently got a new phone so the first thing I did was rip through the list of favourite albums to download so I can listen offline if needed. This was about 3 weeks ago now.
Today I was browsing my album list but noticed the download icon was gray, and checking the list only half of the music I selected had been downloaded. I have also verified this by selecting listen offline where I wad unable to listen to this music.
Why is so much music failing to download? No error messages were seen. App has been restarted, cache cleared, phone restarted etc.
Using Android 14 with the latest Deezer beta version. Phone has plenty of storage (400+GB free space).
Getting pretty fed up with all these issues now, on the verge of cancelling and signing up with Tidal...

Hi @ferg8 I am sorry to hear that.
Have you tried to download them again.
Could you please share a screenshot showing the download icon (grey).
Thanks
Yeah, I've just had to delete all my music, then remove and reinstall the app.
This is a major hassle when I had so much downloaded music.
Now getting my music back is made into a massive chore as I have the issue where I keep getting sent back to the top of the list when browsing my favourite albums, this issue is covered on another thread!!
I also see an issue where an album will stop downloading half way through, I then have to remove from downloads and then re-add it.
Looks like it's gonna take all week to restore my music 🤬
Download stops halfway though, then I need to remove from downloads and re-add it.
Having to do this several times just to download a single album!
I don't think I'll get to replace all 350 downloaded albums before I give up, cancel my HiFi subscription and head over to Tidal…
Hi @ferg8, sorry to hear that you're having trouble downloading your albums on your phone.
I just tried a workaround that worked for me. I selected my favorites and three playlists to download, waited until everything was downloaded. Even though the app was indicating that the download wasn't finished, I closed the app completely (including in the background) and upon restarting, everything was perfect.
Another tip that often helps is to switch the Deezer app to offline mode, then switch it back on. This can prompt the app to resume your downloads.
If none of these procedures solve the issue, could you please provide the following details:
What is the brand and model of the device you are using?
What is the version of the operating system (Android, iOS, Windows, or Mac) installed on your device?
What is the version of the Deezer app installed on your device?
Additionally, please share a screenshot of the Data and Storage settings within the Deezer app.
Thanks for the info. It's actually quicker to remove and re-add as I don't have to leave the album page whilst offline mode requires me to go into settings.
The issue is still there, this is after deleting everything and starting over. I also tried to leave the beta program but don't think that happened as the version is still 8.0.7.16.
Phone is OnePlus 12, running android 14 with all the latest updates installed…

Any feedback on this issue???
Wow Deezer, what's the point of this forum when you dont respond to your customers?
Do you want a screenshot of me closing my account, and another one of me signing up with one of your competitors????
🤬🤬
I can honestly say that Deezer support is full of crap. I’ve been complaining about this issue for months and still it isn’t resolved. I’ve done everything they’ve told you to do and they supposedly cleared all my devices in order to clear my device history and to fix the issue. As of today this issue is still here. Although Qobuz library is missing quite a few artist at least the download feature worked. If Tidal still had the yearly plan through Best Buy I would’ve returned to them because their library is pretty much the same as Deezers. In my opinion Deezer does not seem to care that their app has issues. I can’t say with certainty that these issued started before or after the big heart update but it’s shameful that it has not been resolved. This is a complete pain in the ass.
Yeah, I don't want a purple heart icon, just an app that works!
I'm counting down the days, as Tidal are reducing their pricing next month. They will match Spotify pricing, and their offering includes proper hi-res and Dolby Atmos.
So, now I will get more for less, and also access to a support team that will actually respond to you!!!
I've been paying about £180 annually for over 6 years, but it looks like Deezer just don't care, so goodnight Deezer!
I've had this issue too. Super annoying when about to go on a flight and find music isn't there. About to spend a few days off WiFi recently and again downloads stop part way through. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling app, which helped some, but not completely.
I moved to paid Deezer from paid Spotify, but now questioning the move. I need offline and the product is a fail in that regard.
Android 14 on a Samsung S22u, with tons of storage.
