ive done everything from deleting the smart cache to reinstalling the app and nothing has worked. ive unfortunately had to use spotify, and im not sure what to do. what should i do in this situation?

More info would help. Are you on cellular, Wi-Fi, what troubleshooting steps have you taken? Your home network is solid? Are you streaming deezer hifi?

ive taken all steps, im on mobile using both wifi and mobile data, i have solid network and im not sure what deezer hifi is

@Stacey Knight

What mobile device are you using exactly? And what Android version is there running on?

Please also check the version of Deezer App and if there’s an update on Google PlayStore.

„Deezer HiFi“ was the name of the old subscription plan that included Flac (HiFi) audio quality. With the new plans it’s always included.
You can take a look in Deezer audio settings which quality is set for mobile or wifi streaming and for downloads.
HiFi quality needs much better network connection to work fine.

You didn't say what device you're using but this happens to me from time to time on Android. Try rebooting your phone if you haven't already. I've found that doing so often fixes Deezer connectivity issues.

Ive tried all of this and nothing as worked. I dont think its a connection issue and i'm really annoyed

Hello there @Stacey Knight

Three people have now responded to you trying to help, but you’re not answering the questions that might help them to help you.

  • Are you trying to stream in hi-fi audio quality? this might explain why Spotify is working (if it is) vs deezer, as the data needed for streaming CD quality audio (hi-fi) is significantly higher than what is needed for Spotify’s compressed audio.
  • Streaming on mobile without something like 5G can be challenging with hifi. See the first point above.
  • You say you have a “solid network” but that’s an extremely vague term.
  • Based on what you are describing, this is almost certainly a connectivity/data issue. It’s unfortunate that a certain level of familiarity and comfort with home networking is needed to manage modern setups without issues.
  • You still haven’t even said what device(s) you are using.

Troubleshooting from a distance is extremely challenging, but even more so when you aren’t an active participant in the process. Just saying you’ve “taken all steps” doesn’t help those who are trying to assist you.

Best of luck.

Judging by the title of this thread "almost there, only a few seconds left" this message appears when trying to cast onto a device. I had this message whilst on the Deezer Free plan, even though my WiFi is very fast. The Deezer app was struggling a little and I think it took a few attempts and had to be patient. This was all from my phone by the way. Make sure that the device you cast to supports Deezer assuming you are trying to cast. Hope this helps.

Loading - almost there, only a few seconds left is the message I'm getting! I'm using a Samsung galaxy A10 mobile. I have uninstall, reinstalled. Works temporarily and then go back into it and the same issue happens.

I have switched off, switched back on again. Same useless message shows for eternity. Taken SD card out, put it back in. Restarted, nothing changes.

It certainly is annoying

Hey @GropplerZorn

So sorry for the inactivity, been dealing with a few things. I will answer the questions in full depth

I am not streaming deezer in Hi-Fi as I have changed it.

I have tried streaming deezer on home wifi and data and neither have worked.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy A10 with the most recent update

Hopefully this gives much help and again so sorry for the inactivity

Thanks

Hi @Stacey Knight

No need to apologize whatsoever, we are all here trying to help.

The only time I get this is when I am leaving my house and my phone is transitioning from my home Wi-Fi to my cellular signal. When I've discussed this with other users, it has commonly been a connectivity / signal strength issue, and that's why I suggested it.

You still haven’t elaborated on the quality of your home Wi-Fi, and I don't necessarily expect you to, but there are many reasons why home networks can have trouble with connectivity and providing adequate coverage and consistent signal strength to support streaming media.

It is admittedly puzzling that you are streaming Spotify without issues, and yet cannot do so with deezer. I don't have an answer for that.

I am on iOS, from reading this thread, it seems to be an Android issue. Maybe try rebooting your phone if you haven't already.

Aside from that, the only suggestion I have for you is to not keep clearing your smart cache. It's there and designed to facilitate smoother streaming and quicker reloading by storing your most played tracks. I would check your settings to ensure that you have adequate smart cache storage space allotted.

I don’t have anything else.
