Flow suggestions should be based solely on Favourite tracks. Im sure there are lots of people that let their family play songs they’d never listen to otherwise. My case is weirder. I had my account weirdly “cross over” with someone else’s. The only way I could communicate is by playing songs (our Now Playing songs were sync’ed). So I played “LOGOUT” by Saba about 15 times. Now it’s appearing in my Flow. Ive never added this song to anything. Just played it. As luck would have it, I do like the song so will put it in a playlist, but this shouldn’t be the case. Further to this, I think due to the account cross-over issue, I’m getting a lot of weird recommendations of cheesy keyboard covers of piano songs. I can’t explain it any other way.
In Now Playing, if I click on the artists name it could take me to the artist page.In Now Playing, if I click on the album name it could take me to the album page.
Why not use the Flow engine for “Discovery”? That way it will be an endless Flow that only plays unheard songs (I imagine using the same mechanism as Mood). First, I feel the Flow algorithm is better than the Discovery algorithm (maybe anecdotal). Second, ENDLESS DOSCOVERY!
The Track Mix feature in Windows starts the Mix with a Track other than the Track that the Mix is made from. For example, I choose to create a Track Mix from the song “Go Slow” by Radiohead. I expected “Go Slow” to be the first Track in the mix. This should always be the case. Can you change this feature in this way? I think you will find that it is what most users would expect.
I’m keen to know what my friends are listening to. I’d like to see this on the home page.
When you add a song to a playlist, give the ability to search for the playlist you want. You might either have the search bar always appear first in the list, or have the user drag-down to present it (which seems to be a standard behaviour since Apple introduced the ability to drag-down on the home-screen to use Spotlight).
Ability to change headphones audio codec Display of headphone battery percentage Detect headphones code and have Deezer match that codec (eg if headphones use AAC, stream in AAC) Control noise cancelling mode from within DeezerBasically offer the same controls the headphone maker has in their app. Then the headphone makers could put a “Deezer-compatible” logo on their packaging, and you could partner for free trials of Deezer etc
I generally have no interest in generalised music charts, what’s popular, what’s most played, or top-100s from particular eras. What I am interested in is personalised recommendations, and curated playlists of interesting or obscure music.the home page is skewed far too heavily towards popular and chart music.
It would be good to have an “Add to Playlist” button on the home screen (similar to crude sketch below). Offsets the interface well right? What would be great is if it is automatically filled/negative if a song is already in a playlist. This would greatly improve the suggestion of maintaining playlists to work around the 2000 track limit (I can at least see that it is already saved somewhere in my library).
I’m purging many push notifications, and especially don’t want SMS or email, but it would make sense for “Updates from people you follow” to have in-app messaging.
I’m sick of hearing Autobahn by Kraftwerk every time I click the Discovery mix. It defeats the purpose playing a song you’ve already heard. In the absence of a more advanced approach, Discovery could remember where you were up to the last time you played this mix, and continue from the next song, instead of always starting from the beginning.
The desktop clients have “Go Back” and “Go Forward” functions in the View menu. Why not assign the standard browser back/forward keyboard shortcuts to these functions Windows: Alt + left, Alt + right macOS: Cmd + left, Cmd + right Especially while the back/forward buttons remain broken, this would be a great help, but also just a good standard feature.
It would be great to have an option to allow Deezer to automatically downgrade streaming quality on a poor network connection, or if the network is unusable have it switch to offline mode until connection is restored. Actually they should be 2 x separate settings cuz some people would rather go offline than sacrifice quality. You can set either or both. The auto-nitrate-downgrade should take precedence if enabled. I know Tidal has this feature in some form (bitrate downgrade optional, offline mode always-on, but doesn’t auto-recover once connection recovers).
