It isn't just you @marc.perrin, we've had similar feedback before

I'll be passing your comments to our teams here at Deezer so they can look to improve the shuffle bit - thank you very much for your detailed reply :v_tone2:

Hi there - same problem. Happens on the android app and on a media box that we play through the TV. Family subscription. Many albums and artists liked. Startef our playing a wide variety of songs. Over time the shuffle my music list got smaller and smaller. Now only 9 songs play. @deezer - just admit this feature is helluva buggy, take it down and fix it.!

@Anja I just checked and it is actually 49 songs. What I mean is those same 49 songs are always there - they never change. So it's not really shuffle my music - it is endlessly play the same 49 songs. To clarify user expectation here:
  1. You have a tab called My Music, which contains all the artists and albums and playlists that I have liked.
  2. So what I thought Shuffle My Music would do was take ALL that material and shuffle it.
If it does not do that, you should call it something else. Shuffle An Odd Assortment of Songs would be a more accurate description!

Ok, got it 🙂 And yes, we are working on it. As mentioned above, it's a simplified version for now, but we're working on it. I'll let you know as soon as I have an update 🙂
Hi. Same problem here. On this weekend I've created a playlist with about 50 songs. From these songs I guess that "Shuffle My Music" played about 20 songs from the playlist on a period of two hours listening. Several songs repeated 5 to 8 times and most of songs never get played. It's clear that Deezer enters in a loop state that fails to play all the songs from a playlist.

I think that what everybody wants here (by the older posts) is a simple randomization of their playlist(s) that only starts to repeat songs after have played all the songs from the playlist. Programatically speaking it's is ridiculous easy to implement an array randomization.

It is really, really an annoying bug...

My subscription is Family and playing on an Android device. The same error is present in Deezer 0.7.3 from Windows Desktop.

@Rodrigo.Roland.Andrade hm it's working perfectly fine for me... When I shuffle a playlist, it gives me a random list of all the tracks in this playlist...
Is the latest Deezer installed on your device?
Are you trying to shuffle online or offline playlists?
Same problem here. Even more :(

1. The "shuffle my music" is not different from the flow. I keep getting recommandations and songs that are absolutely not in my library (unknown song/album/artist)

2. It also gives me the same tracks over and over, even after emptying the cache, deleting all the data..for some reason the random selection sticks to 10% of my tracks (and the other ones) and just never plays the rest. I found out I had albums in my favorite that have litteraly never been played in years. And I have about 50, so the chances are high all of them should have been played.

It seems like the selection takes the listening history into account, because I get songs I used to listen to a lot, but which I never included in my library.

I tried everything mentioned here, upgraded to the Beta version, even deleted ALL my library manually and restored it... no change.

This is really frustrating. I mean, I guess not everything is technically straight forward, but even basic MP3 players in the 90s were able to shuffle a list of songs. How come we cannot just get a REAL random selection of all songs included in our playlists + favorite albums ? This is basic feature.
I came to Deezer from Spotify because of some bugs on advanced features, but at least they cover the basics.. thinking about switching again now..
