Hi there, there’s an issue with the search function in “my mp3’s”. This doesn’t work… You just see the whole list

Deezer 5.30.140 for Windows.

After switching to Deezer application with alt+tab or via taskbar pressing Space does not pause (or start) playback. You have to click somewhere inside the Deezer window in order to sort of “focus” UI and make Space work.

(Curiously, Ctrl+arrows can change volume immediately after swtching to the applicatio, additional clicking is not necessary)

Still not working

Hey @PedroBrasa have you tried with a different browser such as Firefox or Chrome? Do you get the same error?
Thanks

Hello! 4 months ago already wrote about the problem with the hang of the desktop application for Windows, still did not solve the problem, after 40 minutes listening to music the application begins to consume under 3 gigabytes of RAM, then it hangs and hangs the entire system for 5 minutes! This is observed on Windows 8.1, and on track of different devices. I will suffer a little more, if you do not fix I will stop using your service, I chose your service forward for the sound quality, but every time wait for the system because of your application is tired already.

Hello, I have a problem (else I wouldn’t be here )
I can only listen to one full song, as soon as the song is finished I can’t select any other song and it doesn’t make sound anymore… I have this problem since a week only on desktop app and I’ve tried deleting and downloading again, restarting computer but nothing works...

Apologies for the late response @Cupart.
Are you still experiencing the same problem?

Deezer Windows Desktop bug:

Hi! I’m having a UI bug in the desktop app where when I click and view the lyrics on a song the X in the top left doesn’t close the lyrics as it used to. I’ve had this on both 1080p and 4K displays on multiple machines. My workaround is closing the window and reopening it, although this isn’t ideal.

Thanks!

I just installed the app for Windows 10 from the Windows store (based on the link from the Deezer website). When I try to log in to the app, it opens a login window in my default browser, Explorer 11, which is required for other programs I use. I can enter my credentials, but it doesn’t seem to respond - it gives me neither an error nor does it login. Can I log in to the app with Explorer as my default browser?

I’ve seen many topics opened on this but this issue remains unresolved as of the newest version (I’m on Mac). This issue has been around for several years now, how hard is it to create a functional back button? Navigating or exploring music over Deezer is the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had with an audio streaming service.

I can’t close the lyrics view, that X button on the upper left corner does nothing. Win 11, app version 5.30.520. The only thing that helps in this situation is clicking on Queue button.

The issue still is there. The X button on the upper left corner in the lyrics view still does nothing.

Hey @Senny600

Thanks for the feedback. The short answer is yes, so please do keep your app updated. Version 5.0 is coming soon @Frogpuppy, and we'll also have specific error messages so that we know exactly how to help you :relaxed:

Thanks for letting us know about this lyrics issue @mariarca ascione can you try delete your app's cache, restarting your computer and checking the same tracks? That way we can be sure if it's a problem with the app or the tracks in question :thumbsup_tone2:

Hi, i’m not sure if this is the right place for this but if it isn’t you can move it to the correct place.

My issue is well, hopefully the image I upload will tell you what happened. https://i.imgur.com/woBzIUO.png

It just happened as I shuffled my favourite tracks list.

Do you mean the image of the tracks? Have you reinstalled the app?

Hey! I’m on Mac os Catalina running Desktop app 4.21. After around 40 minutes of listening to music, songs invariably start to pause every couple of seconds. I’ve verified is not a connection issue by using my android app under the same wifi and youtube on the same computer, is there a workaround for this?

I don't think it's your connection… Do you have another app like anti virus, battery saver, etc? I know it's a mac computer, but just wondering if there is something like these as they could be blocking Deezer.

Having issues with the Windows desktop app:

  1. App seems stuck at version 4.18.60.  Is there a way to trigger an update?
  2. App often does not refresh, leaving a completely black client area.  Seen most recently on the “Music” page, then scroll down to “Recommended Releases”, click one, black screen.  Sometimes it also displays “An error occurred, please try again later”.

Hey @Jaime.
I did the app update during the last few days and something has changed in my Windows desktop app - there is no information about a date when the track was added to my playlist. Why it was removed? It was a very helpful option for me. For example, on the online version, this option is still available.
Regards,
Monika

I can’t login to the windows app, it opens firefox and says “You’re in!” but it just goes back to the app and refreshes the login window, no error. I’ve tried enabling cookies and disabling content blockers.

I tried to login to Edge/Chrome but it says my password is wrong. It definitely isn’t because I use a password manager. It logs in fine in Firefox, iOS, Android.

Maybe just provide us a good ol’ username and password box?

Not a great start to trying out Deezer hmm.

Deezer 5.30.150 Windows 10

Just installed the Desktop app on Windows 11 - I can only open it if I ‘run as administrator’ and then once open it closes itself usually within 30 seconds. Have tried re-installing, rebooting computer etc.

The cache size is zero. When the connection is lost, it is impossible to listen to music.

empty cache

Not a new problem, but a very strange and annoying one I’ve been having for a year now:
Since the end of last year, I can't listen to the longest tracks on Deezer anymore. Whenever a track is over 20-minute long (something not unusual in the genres of music I listen to), the streaming starts normally but after the first 2 or 3 minutes it systematically stops with an error message saying that it can't be loaded. If I manually move the cursor further into the track, the streaming restarts there but the same error message happens again after a couple of minutes, and so on.
That never happens on shorter tracks, so I guess it's due to the weight of the longer tracks and probably some related cache overload, but clearing the cache doesn’t make any improvement.
I've already invastigated this problem as far as I could and I’m sure that it doesn't come from my internet connection or anything like that. And again, until the end of last year it worked just fine, and nothing has changed on my side. (I’m only using Deezer on the website via Firefox, no apps, and please don’t ask me to uninstall/reinstall everything or to use another browser, I’m tired of these false solutions).
In fact, the only workaround I've found to still be able to read those long tracks is to reduce the audio quality, if I put it at only 128kb/s instead of 320kb/s, then it works. But it's definitely not a really satisfaying solution…
I really hope that Deezer will improve things on their side, or I’ll consider moving to Spotify.

This sounds like a too slow internet connection to me though, sorry. If you were using HiFi streaming with FLAC files, this would even be worse. And Spotify Premium also uses 320kbps Ogg Vorbis streams, so probably you would have the same problem, also with other streaming sites using any higher quality format.

Hello,

since today my deezer App is completly twisted….. normally everything was sorted from left to right (like reading a book ^^. Now everything is changed, and i cannot find options to change this. ( I am using win app)

Hello @Ralfito, try uninstalling the app, restarting your computer, downloading the app from our website and installing it again.

Hello @Shustry, what is the version of your Deezer app?

Hi @Kevin Deezer . 4.20.30.104

Hey @Silviu

Sorry about that, please do as I mentioned above:

  • Uninstall the app
  • Search for %appdata and delete any Deezer folder you find
  • Restart your computer
  • Reinstall the app, version 4.32

And then let me know how it goes so that I can pass the info further to our devs :thumbsup_tone2: currently we haven't fully tested the app on Big Sur, so that could be the issue.

Hi there @aleo

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Not yet @Paul Taylor but it's on our radar - at the moment, for convenience to reach maximum users, we have an Electron app, hence your emulation. Rest assured, we're always looking to improve our apps so that will go down really well :relaxed:

Thanks for the feedback @Vyacheslav Aristov @SChalm

@SChalm Sorry for the experience, but don't worry - our app is going to keep getting updated and improved!

I suggest you to do a fresh install. Uninstall the Deezer app, search for appdata and delete any Deezer folder you find, restart your computer and redownload/reinstall the app. And let me know how it goes!
