@Johnathan.Deezer What's the status of this? Because people are unknowingly using data, seems this should be a priority.

It's not just an inconvenience, it's costing people. See what I mean?

For me, at the Beta 7.0.30.2 the Bug is still present. Maybe the Bug is only at the Beta Version?

No, I don’t have beta versions and do have the bug. Reading the beginning of this thread it seems to have started in a beta version, but passed on to the release version. Currently 7.0.28.69, on a Motorola Moto G8 Power.

I just updated to the 7.0.24.23 (Beta) and Bug is still present. I have a lot of downloaded content and don't want to reinstall to get the Standard Version. So I hope there will be another one to test it.

I’ve just taken a look and my android phone says I am on the most recent version at 7.0.23.58? Perhaps 7.0.24 hasn’t reached the UK yet? Version 7.0.23.58 still has the bug.

Thanks for your answer, here is the picture. I click on Downloads, and then on the red random Playback Button. It happens all the time when the Offline Mode is not enabled.

You have an older version 7.0.18, maybe the bug was not yet present.

 

I still have this bug on 7.0.29.67.

@Johnathan.Deezer is there any news? It’s 4 months later and I still occasionally forget to set offline and I use up my data.

Hi @Tony Smith @Marteyn, indeed I can still see it in Beta and normal version. I am checking with the developers if this action is per design or indeed a bug, as the same option has two different actions if you are online and offline.

For now the workaround if you wanna just listen your downloaded content is to go on Deezer app, activate Offline mode and you will get just that content.

Hello everyone, I just tested it on the Android app 7.0.18.81 and if I click on: 

Favourites - Downloaded Music - Shuffles Plays, it only plays songs that are actually downloaded, even when the app is online. 

Have you tried these steps?

Users are going to be angry when they find out they've been streaming music and not just listening to downloaded music. That consumes people's data plans Printerlake
