I'm on Deezer Premium and this is the message I got.

Enjoy High Fidelity sound
We will add High Fidelity sound to your plan for just $ 60,00 more!
That means you get lossless sound quality that lets you listen as if you were right in the recording studio.
Your upgrade will further support our efforts to provide you with the best service, best sound quality and exclusive content, all at an incredible value.
You'll see this new pricing automatically applied on your next bill after July 8th 2021.
We're adding High Fidelity sound to all of our paying offers to give our users the best listening experience.
Enjoy your new benefits, and thanks for supporting Deezer!

Intresting, I am myself for now on Premium.

You must be on annual Premium plan yes or or no for this $60 raise? In some places you can buy annual hifi which is in my country almost the same as monthly Premium plan selled.

Cancel current offer and then once Free get your Hifi annual at Premium price.

I have Bluetooth headphones and earphones with no benefit on Hifi.

Should I go shopping for a benefit? I hope to see clarification, I’ve let managers know.

Hifi seems to be a norm, but not everyone is willing to spend additional €1000 to hear it.

Same here. I like the fact that it is possible for a small extra fee, but my main listening device doesn’t support HiFi so I don’t really need it.

Also curious to know if other price plans will change?

And will there be an annual subscription for family subscriptions?

Customer care might be able to make your price stay the same.

Rewrite them your concerns and they will look for the better price in your situation.

I think they are just doing “Apple” with Hifi in every plan slowly.

Their contact form is here: https://support.deezer.com/hc/en-gb/requests/new

Sorry for any inconveniences.

Got an email this morning saying I’m getting High Fidelity sound for € 2 extra on my family subscription and it will be charged from 8 July onward.

The mail further says Deezer is adding High Fidelity sound to all paying subscriptions, but they don’t mention at what cost. Can’t find an overview of the rates anywhere, there’s no link, and there’s no update on the website either.

I’m subscribed to Deezer in Belgium (got my mail in Dutch).

I’m just curious to see the price hikes for the other subscription types. Because … I have a family plan but with just two heavy users and two users who have it but barely listen.

The family plan is € 15. But an annual subscription for one user is € 90. So two annual subscriptions = 180; twelve monthly family plans = 180. Ok, so I have more value if my other family members would also actually use their Deezer more often.

But if the family plan increases to € 17, then two monthly plans would be more interesting and I just kick my hardly using Deezer family members off the family plan ;-)

Anyway, I’m guessing Deezer will stop selling annual plans.

Hi @casaresjm @fabiand We’ve updated our offering in Belgium and  Argentina and all customers now have the option to access HiFi content by default. We want to provide more value to our subscribers by giving them lossless quality music and we also want to make sure that more money goes to the artists you enjoy. Unfortunately, Deezer’s old offers are no longer available in your countries
In your case @fabiand the increase will be €2 so the new price will be €16,99
In your case @casaresjm the increase will be 60 pesos so the new price for premium will be $159 pesos
If you have any further questions please let me know :relaxed:

Hi, I’m also living in Belgium and I have HiFi. I got the same mail, for 2€ extra I will get HiFi family, which means 5 accounts more. When will this be active? I don’t see any difference for the moment, I can’t create extra accounts.

Hi Jaime, thanks for your reply. What does this mean for the other plans? Is there a document somewhere we can consult on pricing?

You can check if you have best price on your account contacting them:

They may be able to reduce your price if there’s something available.

So you decide to not only raise the monthly fee by 13% but are also going to sell this cheap excuse??

Tell me :  of these 2 € exactly how much is going to the artists? And how much will add to the yearly profit of Deezer?

Next remark : did you consider that raising the sound quality also means that streaming will cost more data to your users? So it’s not just the 2 euro you charge us extra for something we didn’t ask but also added costs to telecom subscriptions because of your policy.

In my case : Spotify just got cheaper than you guys for a Family account. Guess what I will be doing

You can still stream 320K MP3 even on Hifi service or lower.
