Aunetx, thank you for taking the time to do something to help address what has been one of Deezer's top user requests for as long as I've been a user. Much appreciated.Â
I can confirm that I too have this issue when listening to Flow and have had for quite some time. It happens on both Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows 10. I usually use Firefox on Linux and either Chrome or Edge on the Windows machine so it doesn’t appear to be related to a specific browser.Â
I deleted the app, reinstalled version 6.2.34.56 (which I believe is the last version that allows you to save downloads to external storage), redownloaded all of my music then turned off automatic updates. I've got maybe 60 GB in tracks downloaded and haven't had any issues since. Issues like this always showed up after an update, and the removal of the option to save to external storage forced me to remove that factor from the equation. I should have done it much earlier. Â
I've recently noticed the same thing. My favourite tracks show as being downloaded but when I try to open the list or play it tells me I'm offline, which I already know because I took it offline. Previously downloaded tracks played fine when offline. Deezer 6.2.32.56 running on Android 11, Samsung Galaxy S20 5G, build RP1A.200720.012Â Â Â
A couple comments on this since I don't believe the response answered the question asked.. I think Theo is SOL here. Unless specifically written for it I don't believe the linux electron app, whenever it is eventually released, will be a viable option for a headless system, and I also suspect the demand for mopidy is low enough it'll never make into the development queue.  Â
No. Deezer has a long list of user-requested features that's been 'under review' for years including gapless playback, a Linux version of the app, elimination of the 2000 track limit, a family hifi plan and so on. Please focus on prioritizing and delivering these and other highly-requested items before adding to the pile and further diluting your developer's limited bandwidth.Â
May be couple of years ? :) The situation is very bad for me. All my receivers ‘supports’ chromecast, but it simply doesn’t work - they are always ‘stuck’ on ‘starting streaming’. This has been a problem for me for quite some time too. The 'solution' if you can call it that (at least for Android devices ) is to kill Deezer on whatever device you're casting from once the Chromecast connection is made and it's stuck on the track loading screen, then restart Deezer and hit play. The Chromecast connection will still be active. It's a kludge, but it works..Â
I only use linux at home and was probably one of the first people to upvote this request. Having just installed the Windows app on my work computer I'm left scratching my head as to what the point was. It looks virtually the same as the web app but is slow, crashes regularly and, after a nearly 300 MB download was a rediculously large install. It took so long to install on my computer (easily 2-3 minutes with no feedback on a reasonably fast laptop) that I thought the install had hung. They could have just imbedded their main web page into a custom version of chromium and been done with it! It does have a widget but only shows up when manually changing tracks, adjusting volume, etc ..., and when the screen is locked (which it usually is... when I'm not there to listen to anything). I haven't found a way to fix it to a spot on my desktop and have it visible all the time. Unfortunately I think those hoping for or expecting something like Spotify's linux app would be greatly disappoin
I'd like to see this too, but as this is currently the only way around the 1000 / 2000 song content limit to my knowledge I hope the limits are fixed before implemeting this.
Yes please - I've been waiting for this since I signed up a couple years ago! I've got multiple sound systems, all much higher quality than is available from Sonos and all are really good at highlighting the limitations of a 320 kbps audio stream. HQ support for Android, Roku, ideally a Deezer HQ plugin for Plex (a plugin that works with any Plex media Server, not one limited to Windows) and finally HQ via the web interface. I'd really like to see a linux version of your new Windows app but will settle with using Chrome for awhile longer ...
The Stateeztics app / addon will do this for you. In addition to monthly usage summaries they also send a link at the end of the year summarizing your usage. Just go to the app page and load it.
