The song that impacted you the most -THE THREAD 🔉
Hi @Leonídia.Deezer ,alas still the same. I removed my ad blockers to make sure they weren’t the culprit, and the default Windows security is on to make sure that is not the culprit either. I am logged into my Deezer account, but that made no difference. If I stay on the page for about a minute (I was trying to check what part of the page code was giving me a hint of what went wrong), it suddenly pops up. Reloading the page makes the problem reappear.Devtools screenshot with error messages belowWhen the button shows up, the following errors are added :
Hi Nina, here's a screenshot of what I see : no download button anywhere. Hi Nina,Thanks for checking. It’s weird though, I didn’t see the download button (Vivaldi browser, Windows 11, brandnew ASUS Vivobook). I checked now on my computer here and I can see the download link. I’ll check tonight again whether the problem persists on my new laptop, or whether it was just a hiccup on the internet.Kind regardsJorisPS: I’m a Deezer customer for a couple of years already, I listen often through the web browser or the mobile app.
Reporting back. After back and forth with support, multiple times clearing cache, cookies, temporary files and all other information from every browser I have, after uninstalling, clearing all files, and reinstalling, after using IOBit to uninstall Deezer and clean out the registry, no result. I tried on the same WiFi network: phone did fine, both browser and desktop app refuse to show artist and album pages. If you experience the same, you’re out of luck and we’ll have to wait until someone at Deezer with technical knowledge contacts me to pinpoint the problem. But they’re not in a hurry apparently...
Hello, since at least few weeks, every time I try to open the album or author’s page, the error screen appears. What can I try to do to troubleshoot this issue? Did you meet something similar? Is there any kind of log to investigate the problem? Windows 10, Opera GX 98.0.4759.56, Deezer 5.30.540 Same here. I’ve tried the suggested “uninstall and reinstall, clear browser cache and cookies” to no avail. Android app shows album and author page, but Desktop app on Windows refuses to do so, and the web interface refuses to show it as well. This has been going on for a while now.
Hello @markzr37, if it’s something that is happening on the webpage, the only thing to do is clear cache and cookies of your browser. If it’s on the Desktop app, please reinstall it and let us know! I have tried this, and clearing cache/cookies didn’t solve it. Reinstalling the desktop app didn’t either.Version desktop app is 5.30.540. I can see the artist and album information on the Android app, so that’s not the problem. But on both the website and the desktop app I get an error screen. @Yula
Hi @8BallBoris! Can you send me some links of those songs, please? I’ll listen to them again to figure out which songs it were exactly. Might not be today, I’ve too much work on my hands.
Hey @8BallBoris! Thank you for your feedback. Can you please send me some examples, the version of Deezer app and the model of your device?🕵🏼 Thanks I’ve noticed this lately when listening to Tom Waits (one of following CDs: Frank’s wild years, Rain dogs, swordfishtrombones) on the Android app (version 7.0.21.68) and noticed it now as well while listening to the Focus flow on the desktop app (version 5.30.500 I presume), where some songs suddenly were a lot more quiet than others (contrary to what I expected).Android device: Samsung 10Se running Android 12, kernel version 4.14.113-25257816Desktop app device : Dell Latitude 7520 running Windows 10 Enterprise , version 21H2, build 19044.2486
Yeah, listening to Esperanza Spalding’s Songwright’s apothecary lab I am again thoroughly annoyed by the lack of gapless play on the desktop app. Just so it stays on the radar, here I am AGAIN to vote, yell, beg, for gapless playback in the desktop apps. Pretty please.
Hello @matt0509 @Yossi Kozay Thank you for your patience. It’s taking a while but it is still on our radar so we hope that the feature will be ready very soon, Thanks! Could you define “really soon” for us please? It’s 11 months later and there’s still no gapless play on the desktop app. I’m advocating to drop Spotify in favor of Deezer among my friends, even allowing them on my family account, but lack of gapless play is in the top 3 of “reasons not to jump”, next to “I am too lazy” and “but what about my playlists?”. You’re losing out on customers, and they all remember “Deezer is subpar to its competitors” because of that. I know it’s superior, but come ON. 4 years should be enough, no?
Upvoting as well.I made the switch back from Spotify (you know, Rogan...) and I am trying to convince friends and family. Lack of gapless play is the single most objection I heard. It’s terribly annoying when listening to live jazz albums, classical music and so forth. You’re ignoring a growing customer base of not tech-savvy people that just go with the option they’ve heard about most often (that’s Spotify alas) and only switch if the experience is matched. And sad to say, this lack of gapless play makes them believe it doesn’t.
Deezer Developers - PLEASE provide gapless for desktop app! This is unbelievable that it is still not present! This is extremely basic functionality, not a rocket science feature! Cheers, Przemek Wholeheartly seconded. I came back to Deezer from Spotify due to the obvious reasons. I have been trying to convince friends and family to make the switch. The single most objection that was thrown up, was lack of gapless playing. That’s incredibly annoying when listening to live jazz albums, classical albums and so fort. This should have been the top of your priority list years ago @Rudi . Please make it happen, it’s costing you customers. You’re not capitalizing on Spotify’s mistake!
