The song that impacted you the most -THE THREAD 🔉
When I favourite a track, I also add it to one of my own playlists by its own genre. Likewise, when I’m listening to my own playlists, I unfavourite a track when I’ve grown tired of it and then delete using the desktop client at some point later(it seems the best way for me to keep the number of tracks I favourite under control otherwise I’ll exceed the 10k allowed in weeks ). It would be really useful to have the option of sorting unfavourited tracks to the top or bottom to make deletion easier when you have a LOT of tracks in a playlist. Every other column can be sorted the way you want except favourites.
That’s great news about the improvements to FLOW and I hope it’ll turn out to be something special and a unique selling point for Deezer. I see Deezer as occupying the middle ground between Spotify and Apple Music for algorithm discovery. Spotify is great initially for quite some time, but becomes repetitive and lacking excitement in it’s suggestions. Apple Music is like (showing my age here) a record shop, the discovery needs a little more work to find what you like but AM partly helps you to find new favourites. Deezer (so far) occupies the middle ground for me in that the Daily Mixes are usually good and hopefully FLOW will continue to improve. In the future I hope there will be improvements such as adding a track to artist mixes/flow for listening next, more time given to editors to update the Deezer playlists more etc, but that’s a whole different topic.
I do agree @Placido09 in that it’s hard to see advantages over other services. Also @Gaffer13 was spot on in that other services may not offer everything someone wants (probably why I have two services, Deezer HiFi and Apple are both annual accounts, Deezer is £134 and Apple for a higher quality audio £99)).The main plus for me with Deezer is the simple, clean UI on iOS and that it works pretty well as well as enjoying the mixes. But I am getting close to wondering why I subscribe to Deezer and Apple Music. If I had to choose, without any hesitation I’d let Deezer go. Apple Music just has more for the £$, Apple Music TV, a superb DJ mixes section covering most genres (hard style, House, techno etc), and 4 out of five mixes that are really good for me and great recommendations, Apple Music One and AM Hits radio stations. One thing I find strange with Apple is the way the android app has more features, such as auto crossfade similar to Spotify’s and the iOS left without this. The android
I’m getting a little confused @Jaime.. Is Deezer going to be offering a free upgrade to ALL users (including those outside Belgium and Argentina) who currently subscribe to the basic MP3 service? Is the high fidelity mentioned in this thread the existing CD quality lossless, or is it a high resolution service also offered by Tidal and Apple Music (max 24-bit 192kHz for no extra cost in the case of AM)?Many thanks.
Hi @Chris.Byrne , sorry to hear you’ve been double billed. You might be best to contact Deezer Support detailing exactly what’s happened so that they can get this corrected. I hope they get it sorted for you and have a good week.
Thank you Deezer for making the Queer Channel and that it’ll be updated into the future. I can especially recommend the It's a Sin playlist (from a TV show on Channel 4 in the UK and written by Russel T Davies). To anybody who lived through those times, it was filled with amazing culture (and so dated now looking back lol), banging tunes (Culture Club, Sylvester, Bronski Beat, Hazel Dean, Sinitta, Wham and Divine - the peak of Hi-NRG and forerunner of techno/rave) but incredible sadness and a fear for life. The show covers the ‘gay disease’ as they called it then and called HIV now, a time when rampant homophobia went to new heights, through ignorance and fear. I lost about 30 friends & work colleagues who ‘went home’ never to be seen again. It’s a powerful show, filled with fun and sadness with the supremely talented Olly Alexander (Years & Years) who shows off his excellent skills as an actor. Pride throughout the years has been a great help to many people. It’s raised a vi
Hi @Roman Selin , Have you tried resetting and reconnecting your AirPods Resetting AirPods? When I've had similar issues in the past, that usually helps, it may be worth a try. Let us know on here if you’ve still got issues please and have a good weekend.
I hope this does get implemented at some point. It goes the natural flow of listening to music not being able to add a track to play next.
To be able to delete a track from your own playlist in ‘now playing’ would be great. Having to find the track in a long playlist is fiddly and time consuming if it’s a long playlist.
This is a small request compared to the folks above having a working app, but it’d be wonderful if there was an option to add a track straight to a playlist (even if this was limited to a few user created playlists). I’m finding the app a pleasure to use, the only thing I do notice is the volume control can be a bit, hmm, laggy in comparison to other music apps (when I use the crown to alter the volume). I’m using the the latest available app, 8.39.0, an Apple Watch 6 and iPhone 11.
It’s more of a trance and chilled day for me rather than hardstyle (probably tonight for that). What’s everyone else got on repeat today? I’m loving this from Fatum….https://deezer.page.link/Wob8LXxiQXkGcc8B9. (Not sure I’m linking correctly?)
Perhaps I’ve missed it, but is there a way to add a track to my own playlists via the Apple Watch app (latest version)?
As well as the folder options to organise our favourite playlists, I’d also love to see something easier for favourite tracks, such as sort by genre. As others have said, it’s a bit disorientating going from classical to techno when everything is in one list.
