Chill out guys. Don't pay for it if you think it's too much. I’m not arguing for just myself, if you haven’t noticed yet. I’m pointing out the inequity amongst all users. Not sure why you commented on this thread with pretty much the same response as the other person. If there are more users like you guys than not, Deezer’s made a very profitable move indeed.
A regime in the office refers to employer (boss) and employees. - No it doesn't, a "particular way of operating a business” does not refer to just the boss and its employees. Business operations extend well past that. What does your example have to do with the relationship between service providers and customers? - Who is the end user of the product? The customer. So the strategy the company decides to take ultimately affects the customers. I was suggesting ways to validate continuing with serving the poorer countries, as there's really no excuse not to. If they adjusted the price increases according to the affordability of each country, surely that's better than pricing them out completely. By all means, if you have the figures to show how much it costs to service a country like the Philippines, and it turns out it's less than or equal to $10.99 USD per customer, I'd love to see it. You also act as if you are forced to use deezer and pay dearly. NO, you don't ha
You equate deezer with a regime. What an exaggeration. 🙄Based on your interpretation of that word, how about asking for mine first?https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/regimeDespite it being a standard way of doing business, it’s sh!tfull. I acknowledge you recognised that, but why choose not to give a damn?As if they couldn’t afford to charge equitable prices, and simply absorb those costs by achieving economies of scale in the richer countries. Whilst it’s not pure profit maximisation and cost minimisation in the short-term (hard to perfectly achieve both simultaneously mind you), it could very well worked out for them in the long-run. Especially in terms of the reputational risk they faced in making this decision.Let’s see if the cohort of subscribers comprise more of self-interest pr!cks, or people who are actually conscious of the wider implications of their complicity. Time will ultimately tell.
I’ve been using Deezer for some time now. And the increase of 1 euro here didn’t make me switch to another streaming service. But I was a bit curious, so I did try Spotify again, YouTube Music and even Amazon Music. Well now, even when trying those other music streaming services, I did return to Deezer. It’s the complete package that makes it interesting for me. The app, the website, the layout, the simplicity how Deezer works and of course the HiFi option is a big PLUS for me. Is it expensive? I don’t think so. Instead of a monthly subscription I switched to an annual subscription, with makes the price 8,24 and that’s with HiFi. I’m hoping that more people are going to see the benefits of Deezer instead of the big green giant streamer., ‘cause there is more than the green giant. Dude… the Philippines went from 129PHP to approx 617PHP per month…. WTF are you on about? As long as it doesn’t affect you directly, who gives a fk about the way they treat other customers???You can’t apply
“Deezer expects to benefit from…… the incremental impact of price increases implemented...” Nothing incremental about this, how infuriating!
The price increased by 470% for members in the Philippines, beyond a joke!
Yep, a 477% increase in the Philippines…. Disgusting!
Yep, still happening to this day. The downloaded music theory makes sense, but it has happened to me whilst streaming off wifi and mobile data as well. It actually happened tonight whilst working out. Pain in the arse!!!
