Exclusive mode with true bitperfect support, use ASIO drivers if possible. Tidal and Qobuz do bitperfect, come on Deezer! :)
As far as I know, you can cancel the yearly subscription and get a pro-rated refund. So I don’t see any reason to pay more. I have the yearly subscription and I’m billed monthly.
It is about the numbers lol. The service is the same ;)
Pricing is different everywhere. Just do the numbers compared to other services available in your area.
Tidal Hifi Plus here is 12,16 euros a month (USD 12.10) on a yearly plan and has been that way for years. Deezer Hifi here is 10,16 euros a month (USD 10.12) on a yearly plan (actually decreased from my original subscription, which was more than 3 euros higher so more expensive than Tidal) but the newly announced increase will put it at 10,99 euros a month on a yearly plan (USD 10.94) So Deezer is on a par with Tidal Hifi Plus here, but it’s clear that prices vary a lot based on location and even neighboring countries have widely different costs. We are a small country and Qobuz doesn’t even bother with us. But, what is here is less expensive than for Germany, Austria etc, where the salaries are higher. There are some things that the Deezer Windows app needs to support like better navigation (think Tidal) and support bitperfect.. ASIO DAC drivers or WASAPI exclusive mode (seriously- if we’re paying for hifi, we expect that). Lately I listen to Deezer hifi over Bluesound and that solve
I don’t understand what the holdup is with this. Now that Spotify failed, it’s a better time than ever to give us a bitperfect desktop app and get ahead of the competition. Where I live Deezer hifi actually costs more than I’m paying for Tidal hifi plus. Qobuz isn’t available in my country but when it is, if Deezer doesn’t have a bitperfect desktop app, I’ll cancel Deezer and add Qobuz in addition to Tidal. Please, stop dragging this out. It’s 2022, hifi customers expect bitperfect. Otherwise, we can use Spotify for 5 euros a month...
For a hifi plan, yeah, it’s essential to have a bitperfect desktop app. So, it’s only hifi if you play Deezer through Bluesound or other streamer that supports it. Fellas, it’s way past due. There is no good reason why we don’t have a bitperfect desktop app. I pay more for Deezer hifi than Tidal hifi plus here, and when Qobuz becomes available (if ever) I will add Qobuz and cancel Deezer, if we don’t have a bitperfect desktop app by then. Seriously...
Hey @merojack @tubeaudio Thank you for your support! You've got a point. Please vote for the suggestion here so that we can work on influence the prioritisation of the feature Done, thank you :)
This is important by itself and has nothing to do with casting. In the desktop app there has to be a way to clear the play queue. If this doesn’t exist, please add it. It’s a basic feature that really has to be there.
This is part of exclusive mode and bitperfect. The app should provide an ASIO or WASAPI driver and we should be able to select the DAC (or soundcard) from the desktop app. Tidal does this… what’s Deezer hifi without exclusive mode? It’s not hifi.
Ok, it happened again after I already had the version of the app Deezer claimed no longer required us to log in again or go through Captcha. I just cancelled my Deezer hifi account.
This is outrageous. How can you guys keep asking us to jump through hoops. Every windows app on earth asks for userid and password once and then never again. Why do you keep asking me to log in and then go through 10 captchas? This is worse than a webapp. ATROCIOUS! Just fix it already!
Hello @tubeaudio we are so sorry that there are currently several technical bugs in the Deezer Desktop App. Our developers are trying to fix them as soon as possible. The Login problem has already been fixed - please make sure you have installed Deezer Desktop version 4.18.50 The constantly being logged out again problem has not been fixed yet but is hard work in progress. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. If it is too annoying, please use the browser version. It happened to me on 4.18.60. I don’t want to use the browser version. I am paying for a hifi subscription and the app...
Ok, so the paging back and forward that was broken for months is finally fixed. The app has been losing my logon credentials and this happened several times. And then I have to go through the idiotic choose the pictures with the bus, traffic lights etc. This is the Windows desktop app, not the website. This continues the infuriating, first-day-on-the-job UI behavior. Save my logon credentials from the app and don’t ever ask me for them again, so then it will be like every other Windows app.
