I want to transfer my playlists from my Deezer account to YT Music however, Deezer free isn’t available in South Africa and prevents me from transferring using Tune My Music. So now I need to pay R75 just to get my music. That doesn’t seem fair to me. Is there something I can do to overcome this issue?

Thank you!

Hey @ChrisTwoFour

Obviously in hindsight, the play would have been to transfer your playlists prior to deezer free shutting down and you subsequently not having access to your account.

That said, as of now, I can't think of a solution other than the one you mentioned, to pay for a month of deezer premium to get access to your playlists.

I'm not sure how many you have, or what it is worth to you not to have to recreate them again.

Also, you're going to have to consider the expense of a migration service, some of them will transfer a limited amount of music for free, but if your library is extensive, you're going to end up paying to move your music, whether through tune my music, song shift, or one of the other available services.

Are you planning on going with YouTube Music free? It might be worth considering staying with deezer premium if the subscription price is comparable to YouTube Music Premium, if that's what you're thinking of.

I've reached out to the other super users here at deezer to see if anyone else has any other ideas, but I think what I've mentioned here are probably your choices.

best of luck with whatever you decide.

I thought until now that you could transfer the collected music without an active subscription. For TuneMyMusic and other transfer services, you have to authorize access to your Deezer account. Is the problem here that Deezer only provides the offer page in this case, @ChrisTwoFour?

Perhaps support can provide an extract of the music as a csv or txt file?

Hey, thank you for your insight and advice, @GropplerZorn!

I switched to YT Music premium because YT premium is included, which is a better deal for me, but to be honest I miss Deezer's HIFI compared to YT's quality.

Also I experienced so many bugs with Deezer, songs and artists repeat after disliking and songs just stop playing while listening, etc. That was so frustrating especially since I was paying for premium.

Like you said, it might be worth it to get premium again to transfer the libraries, and then I can enjoy sone glorious HIFI again lol.

Thank you for reaching out and for your assistance friend!

Hey @E0xc815, I thought so too.

Yes that's correct, it only gave the offers page. I'll give it a try, I didn't bother to contact customer care since I'm no longer a client or a customer. I'll give it a shot and ask.

Thank you for reaching out bro🤜🤛

Hi @ChrisTwoFour and everyone !

Catch with Tune my Music is that you can import only 500 tracks for free .
Free plan summary :
- Convert up to 500 tracks
- No automatic syncs
- Export to file (TXT, CSV)

For more than 500 tracks you need to be Tune my Music Premium subscriber and then you can transfer as many tracks as you want :
- Unlimited Conversions
- Up to 20 Automatic Syncs
- Export to file (TXT, CSV)

cost for premium :

$4.5 / Month
Monthly billing

$2 / Month
Annually billing

So the account does not remain free with grayed out songs or 30 second previews, does it? 😯
I'm sorry to hear that. I thought you could always log in at least. That's sad to know.

Yeah man, I can't even preview! If I could at least just access my playlists to transfer, I would respect Deezer a lot more, but here we are.

Thanks anyways bro🤜🤛
