Hello Johnathan!

I understand that you have to compete and bringing HiFi bring added value. But doubling the price. I could be supportive with i.e.20% price increase but 100% is just too much. This decision will bring you just opposite of what you wanted. To compete on the market. You will now lose in this competition definitely. And I'm sad about it, because I liked Deezer, but we will have to say goodbye if you don't change your decision.

Thank you!

Hello @kolma!

As a challenger, Deezer needs to adjust quickly to make sure that we can continue to compete with global giants. That’s why we have taken the decision to make HiFi (FLAC quality) part of all our subscriptions. It means we had to change the price point to reflect the value we provide, as well as the standards in the country.

We don’t have other option at the moment, but you are receiving a better song quality, no worries.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Well, I also dont have any better option than to leave. Moved to a competitor Got, Hi-Fi for the forme 10 euro a month.

Good luck in retaining your customer base.

I'm sharing an anger. I'm a customer for years, just builded a base of music, and now this.
If shortly no positive answer I'm cancelling and going somewhere else.

I’ve just received an e-mail that starting December 2022, I’ll be receiving HiFi audio quality, and this was very suspicious, so I’ve read further and have seen the reason: My “Family” plan cost has been steeply increased from 8.99€ to 17.99€, in a very pro-customer manner without any possibility to not agree with this nonsense.

Actually, I’ve switched from Spotify few years ago, because I’ve found that Deezer is quite cheaper and does not have this stupid policies of the behemoth competitor.

Now, of course, I am NOT going to tolerate such arrogant anti-customer behavior and I’ll cancel my Deezer subscription and of course switch back to Spotify (although I am not a fan).

According to Deezer blog, Deezer’s revenue grows, number of subscribers is increasing, so why the heck? Greed? Reckless... Deezer, you’ve made me very upset.

To all Deezer execs, managers and alike: YOU’VE LOST A CUSTOMER and I hope I won’t be alone.

Dear Deezer,

Today I received an email informing me that my familiy plan was going to be upgraded to HI-Fi which is nice. Continued reading and also got information the the price plan was increasing from 10 euro 17.99 a month?!?!

I´ve been a paying customer for almost 10 years. Why are you forcing me to upgrade into something I never asked? My anwser is sorry but I dont want to pay for “Hi-Fi”.

Hi, i just got a message saying that my subscription will be increased from 10€ to 17€ because of HIFI. I never asked for HIFI, and i don’t have the equipment to listen to hifi. We are talking about almost double the price. This cannot proceed, i would like to request to opt out of the feature and stay at the current price.
