The song that impacted you the most -THE THREAD 🔉
It came to my attention recently that Deezer doesn't have the bit perfect FLAC files available for the Android OS. An audiophile on YouTube who is quite respected and known in the digital music production and reproduction community did a cameo on another channel about audio file formats from all the streaming services available currently. He said something that caught my attention and that was that while Deezer does in fact stream bit perfect FLAC files on desktop, it currently isn't supported on or by Android devices yet which made me ask myself, am I paying for music I can't even appreciate on my Android devices because Deezer is r raking in the revenue from mobile device owners who are paying for Premium tier subscriptions which are only bit perfect at 16/44.1 at the highest available quality but only on desktop or high end DAP? I hope this is not the case, but when I listen to Qobuz (which is FINALLY available on Canada as of a couple weeks ago!!) There is an audible and noticable
This is the 2nd Idea I've posted about this issue. I had a great experience with my Pixel 6 Pro and Deezer Premium subscription because I was able to implement the device EQ through the Audio settings section in the Deezer Android app. Does anyone know what I'm talking about??? After an update almost 2 weeks ago it was gone... Just like that. The bottom part of the Audio settings page is blank. It was a great feature that I used every day. I'm not an audiophile but I love my music to sound great. Especially when I'm paying for it. This EQ option was not available for all devices so there's probably a small number of Premium subscribers who know what I'm talking about. Deezer, please add this option back!!!
Just wanted to suggest a small but significant option be restored on the Deezer Android app (and possibly the desktop and iOS apps). The Equalizer option in the Audio settings section. There it was before the May 31st 2022 update and as soon as I open the app after the update it's gone. It's an important little option if you're a Premium subscriber as the FLAC files reflect smaller changes in the frequency band than that of lower bitrate streaming subscriptions. Not every device had this option but for those that did and do, it's a frequently used tool. Here's hoping it finds its way back to the Android app.
Just a couple of months ago I posted a piece regarding the loss of the EQ settings under the Audio section on my Pixel 6 Pro. It turned out that it was removed from the mobile app entirely. I was bummed out big time. Well after an update today I'm more than pleased to see that the EQ option has returned!! And not only that but Deezer has made a couple of visual tweeks as well. It now displays which device is currently playing and through which way whether it be Bluetooth or what have you. It's all in all the best update to the most popular way of listening to Deezer Premium. That being on the mobile app. Thank you guys @Deezer Premium @Deezer . You've made me think that my opinion (as well as many others I'm sure) actually matters and it's good to know that complaints or issues don't go unheard or unseen.
After the most recent update for Deezer for Android I no longer can adjust the EQ on my Pixel 6 Pro. I'm a Premium subscriber and having the ability to use the phone's EQ through the Audio settings was a pleasure. Those of you who's devices have a stock EQ will know what I'm talking about. There was first, the option to activate the EQ through a toggle switch… and right underneath it was the EQ settings tab (button or link or whatever it's called) which has now vanished from the app entirely. Please add this option back!!!
