The song that impacted you the most -THE THREAD 🔉
Hi JaimeThe information in my screenshot above from the Deezer website on the day I subscribed was that prices are in the local currency. It was not legal to debit any other amount from my card.No one has answered why it is not possible for Deezer to display the currency every time they state a price - after all, they show the user’s country. This would easily prevent problems like this.Still today, if a new Deezer user in NZ looks at offers, they get the message ‘Deezer Free is not available in your country’ (confirming Deezer has identified the country), and prices with no currency. Users would rightfully assume the currency is NZ dollars, as there is no mention of US dollars anywhere. How is this not deliberately misleading?
Thanks for your reply, Yula - I appreciate your comments. Yes - I agree that the country specified on my account page - New Zealand - is the currency in which I should be - and agreed to be - charged. This makes perfect sense, and that currency is NZ dollars.Unfortunately, Deezer has charged my credit card almost 50% more than I agreed to, by charging me in US dollars. It is clearly not legal to charge customers a higher price than is advertised and agreed to.
