Require API Auth


I have changed phones and cannot log into my deezer premium account. It keeps displaying the error message Require API auth.
I have tried reinstalling deezer but still getting the same message.
I am using an android phone.
Could you please help.

This is really not true and really sad for you to say this, 

one of our biggest markets is Brazil! 

My daughter is part of our family account and I have the same problem since she traveled to South America a few days ago. Perhaps there is indeed a problem with different locations.

Well, faulty update and additionaly bad service (no answer).

Doesn´t make me happy . 😉

As a precaution, I have already cancelled the subscription... should still promptly come a good solution proposal from customer service, I can think about a new conclusion of the membership. We will see.

I jused the app-version 7.0.13.54 of Deezer on my smartphone (Android 6.0.1) without any problems. Directly after updating to version 7.0.18.77 the login fails.

Message is: “require API auth”

it seems quite clear to me:

The Update is faulty, because it is the only thing that was changed on the device.

So, what shall i do?

Installing an older version again, or waiting until you fix the bug and then just update to the new version?

Any bug fix updates? In the German community there is also a user -with 7.0.14.44- who complains about the “API auth” error.

Hey @Rich.T.Taylor I am afraid I don’t have any update, and I’ve asked our devs again.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does the trick according to some users, but you might get the error message again at some point.
Apologies for the inconvenience.

Is there any update on this bug as I cannot use my Deezer.

It keeps saying "Unable to load page"

Then "Require API Auth"

Our developers are aware of the problem and working on a permanent fix, and hopefully everything will be back to normal soon.

Hi. Since the last android update I am unable to load page and have the error Require API auth. Could you please send me a reset password so that I can change from using Google acc to log in. Thank you

Thanks for reporting it. What iPad OS and app version have you got? This has been sorted so it could be gone if you update the app. Let us know :wink:

I have the same pb (require API auth) and though it works on my desktop it does not work on my IPAD. More now having changed again the password on the desktop it requires changing thze pass on the ipad

Please follow the password reset email I've sent you and try to login again after changing the password and reinstalling the app to the latest version 👍🏼

I've tried some due maintenance on your account and sent a password reset email. Please change your password, reinstall the app to the latest version and let me know if it works :wink:
