The song that impacted you the most -THE THREAD 🔉
@el_micko As you can imagine there’s no official information about such detailed internal developments. Also there’s no timeline for such things. My personal opinion is that Sonos integration could be done around mid 2023. Hopefully following Amazon Echo also end of 2023. But there is no official information about this. Just my feeling… 😎 Ok, cheers.
@el_micko As far as I know (but without guarantee 😉) this is on the roadmap for Deezer connect. Imho Sonos will be first supported external system and others startung with Amazon Echo will follow. But once again… this takes time. it does, do you know how much time it will take. when can we expect to see Echo device support for deezer connect in ios beta? Have all the devs been working on the Zen project or is that a separate dev team?
Great new feature. Please make it available for Denon/Heos multiroom system as well! Thx, Marc Just to be realistic… the feature is still in development for Sonos and Amazon Multiroom. For other systems like Heos imho this will take some more time. Amazon Multiroom……..does this mean that soon i’ll be able to control Alexa Echo devices from my phone, as you can do with Spotify?
If you are still using Deezer, Most tracks are 16-bit/44.1KHz. I had a bump in SQ in most songs by changing my windows default output to 16-bit/44.1KHz. This is the answer. You settings are set to the max sample rate and bit depth, set it at 16-bit/44.1KHz to match the CD quality of what Deezer is outputting then all will be good.
There’s a workaround for this. In Windows, open your sound settings, go to volume mixer/app volume (you may need to scroll down), ensure you have Dezzer app open on your pc, find deezer in the app volumes and set the output device to your chosen device (works best if you have an external DAC). Now Deezer will have an exlusive mode over the device. find your device in your sound settings and set your device to the desired sample rate and bit depth, Deezer is cd quality FLAC so I have mine set at 32bits 48000khz. Now you have exclusive mode with it playing the correct sample rate and bit depth as you would for Tidal or Qobuz. Works in exactly the same way, this is just a more manual way of doing it. Enjoy!
I would like to apologise for the misinformation on my previous reply to @el_micko Sonos support for Deezer connect is not available in any country yet and there is no ETA either. What we recently launched in France and the US was Deezer on Sonos Voice Control and support for the Flow Moods. As soon as I have information regarding Deezer Connect I’ll let you know ooooh you tease. so no support for controlling deezer on alexa devices (echo, echo show etc) with your phone a la Spotify anytime soon then? I just don’t understand why Spotify are the only service that provide this functionality when people have been crying out for it. Deezer, Tidal, Qobuz are all great streaming services in their own ways, yet none of them can control alexa devices, Amazon Music can but it’s limited. I just find it baffling, especially when we got so close with Deezer Connect, I can now remotely control what’s playing on my pc with my phone, why not other devices as well?
I am sure our devs are working in a better user experience for Deezer Connect and to expand its functionality. Actually, it has been expanded for Sonos users in France at the moment. Stay tuned for any update and thanks for your patience :) Ok, fingers crossed it comes to alexa casting soon like spotify!
@Yula Any update on this? I see it’s been merged but isn’t that a bit more generic. I think we should keep a specific thread unnerved for specifically controlling Deezer on an Alexa device, say an Echo, from the Deezer app on your phone, like you can do on Spotify and Amazon Music. Come on Deezer Devs, YOU CAN DO IT!
