We understand your frustration, please feel free to contact our Support to discuss your options as they will be able to look into your personal account and help your particular case. You only pass to Hifi when your subscription upgrades, so keep that in mind. I have contacted support who informed me that it was a mistake on the email and i should have been quoted £3 per month and not £2 per month. Apparently its a mistake but i will have to pay the £3 and not the £2 quoted in the email. That’s false advertising then . Perhaps contact them and see if they can sell at $2 increase only for 6 months. Cancelled instead I cancelled from when I first detected this foolishness.After reading this further insult, I will not be renewing/resuming the services. I have found an alternative, so will be deleting the app this week.
I was disappointed by the approach of the email. It’s not acceptable to hide a price increase announcement at the bottom of several paragraphs of an email entitled “Your Deezer Family subscription is getting even better!”. HiFi has no value to me as I can’t hear the difference in lossless encoding, so I will be moving elsewhere. one hundred per cent agree

However, that’s an official reply from our PR department and we just provide the exact same message to all our users in order to be aligned and avoid any misunderstanding We are the only independent global challenger left in the audio streaming industry, which is fast and changes everyday. We understand that you were not given 3 month notice on price increase as promised in May, but we had to adapt to the current competitive landscape. That’s why we’ve chosen to make HiFi part of all our subscriptions in your country and adjust the price point. Thanks :) i’m sorry but this answer is not helpful and does not acknowledge that apps can be a treat - a few quid a month can make a difference over a year. i have direct debits set up. if these go over, i can be in big trouble. why didn’t you add a banner to the app and a link so that people can make a decision? why d
So put up the prices, just checked all my emails and not one from you telling me if the price increase. Surely that's stealing taking extra money without telling them. Check my spam folder too. Bye bye deezer. the email in question is one banging on about some hifi bullshit. at the end of the email they state that the prices are going up, and that os apparently for our benefit. i’m so insulted, i have cancelled my subscription.
Posters are mentioning £2 and £3 here. Has the UK now been included in the new HiFi plan? @dee_dirk You mention Deezer taking into account the need for HiFi and HiRes quality above. Does that mean that Deezer will be increasing the quality of their output up to 24-bit/192khz from 16-bit/44.1Khz Flac? there is no improvement in output. unless i am sitting there with a device to measure this supposed ‘improvement’ i cannot detect it. also, shouldn’t i be able to choose this? shouldn’t the app have notified me, and not a shitty email which is trying to tell me that i am benefitting from their price hike. this is bullshit, i have already cancelled by subscription. i will go elsewhere. deezer can kiss my ass. i was happy with the service up until this deception.
