@Rudi Gapless playback on desktop app for windows? It seems like it’s not available, is it?Thanks
@Rudi Gapless is available as an option under Labs (premium beta user here)...is it supposed to be like that or..?
Just started a trial, and I guess I’ll see if this feature is added before the trial period ends! I really hope it happens. Likely but do not hold your breath...this feature is an ongoing process since...well can’t remember...forever?
For me (I was with Spotify a while back) Deezer is better also because... nicer interface (when you "like" a song it puts it under favourite songs, if you "like" an album it adds it to your albums but DOESN'T put all the songs in your Favourites songs (unlike Spotify does - very annoying!). Not anymore Rob.
Hey there @udy We're also waiting to hear back about this. It could be delayed for the New Year. But we know it's been worked on for quite some time now. Thanks for your support and understanding Definitely a huge deal breaker to me. After so many months and years we’re still waiting for something so basic. Deezer and Tidal are still the only one music providers without this more-than-needed feature. I’m sorry @Rudi but I will not considering Deezer anymore until this feature will be properly implemented.
I tested Deezer app on Manjaro. Since it's an electron app I didn't have any major issue. It works with electron 4 (4.2.6 or 4.2.8) but not with the latest 5.x.x Repackaging the app is more than trivial. Maybe you will have to implement MPRIS but apart from that not a big deal...:)
Any updates? It would be a very nice feature...
Rafael. Many customers already have voted for this feature...sorry for the rant but I have to think: a) You know that crossfade is not gapless but really it's not that important --> you don't care what many customers are demanding b) It's technically a mess almost impossible to implement. In this case I'd prefer an official statement from the Company. Thanks a lot
marceldebeus I merged your post into this ideas topic. Please vote for this feedback above. I'm afraid we don't have any short term plans for this, but we'll let you know as soon as there are any news :)
I'm afraid for you since this is a feature that should be put in your priority list...and that many customers or potental customers find to be essential
Daniel Pugh crossfade could help but let’s be honest...gapless playback is the only way :)
elektroinside I agree. It should be easy to implement gapless. If it's a technical problem I'd be glad to know...I can live with that, but it would be a pity.
Anja mind that this feature (if I remember correctly) was present in the past
This is really MANDATORY. Now: crossfade IS NOT gapless playback. Deezer say crossfade is their solution but it's not, sorry. Crossfade is good for playlists, gapless is the only way to respect the way artists conceived their work (should I mention The Dark Side of the Moon?).
Personally I think that Deezer's discover options are good as they are, and better than Spotify :)
I agree (especially now with the new Flow), but having something similar to Release Radar (Spotify) would be very useful. Another way to achieve that it could be to have a list of new releases from the artists we love.
Hi 64hoursofviolence, our devs are working on this at the moment ;) In the mean time I recommend you to move these songs to a playlist and get more space on your favorite tracks ;)
Rafael. But if I move these songs to a playlist Flow will have less data to process and maybe it will have worse suggestions. Am I wrong?
The cursor lets you go forward or rewind the song directly from the lock screen

It would be very useful to scrobble the track you’re listening to from the lock screen. It’s not possible atm. Plus the name of the album is not available (always in the lock screen); only artist and name of the track.
No. They say crossfade is their approach...
