"We hope you are enjoying our rebranded app"Seriously, are you taking the Mickey Bliss?
They are too stubborn to undo it despite the overwhelming negative response, but above all else they simply don't care as long as they keep getting the money
My annual sub hasn't even expired yet, but this đź’© show of a rebrand and the arrogant dismissive responses from Deezer have made it far easier to stomach the additional cost of a new sub elsewhere.Â
Guess What...? you are about to shoot yourselves in both feet? You've fallen for marketing waffle and been suckered out of a boat load of cash in the process? You've asked 5 year olds to do a redesign of your corporate branding? You are trying to help your competitors by driving your own customers to them? Your brand is an icon. It is how people have grown to know your business but you dont give two đź’©đź’©?   Â
Deezer helps you “be and belong,” What a load of 💩You're a streaming music service first and foremost - remember that, because people are paying to keep you in businessIf I wanted the rest of the rubbish that you misguidedly think that you are, I'd go to existing social media outletsYou've killed your brand identity and your previously instantly recognisable logo in pursuit of some misguided flight of fancyAll that I, and seemingly many other paying customers, want is a streaming music provider with a corporate branding that doesn't offend the sense of sight.Enjoy your reimagining coz I'm reigniting my Tidal subscription...
Probably be Tidal for me
Oh dear, what a load of 💩I don't care Deezer, what I want is to pay to stream music without the corporate branding offending my eyes.I don't want a quiz, or an 'experience' or to connect emotionally.Other than Flow, you can keep the rest of the garbage that you have decided to come up with - stick it all on a different tier of membership and see how many people choose it.
If it was only the logo I could live with it. But the whole interface is botched and does not look professional. I am not a freaking 14 yo Fortnite player. More than twice as old as that and never played Fortnite in my life, and don’t really see any problem with that. In my opinion a grown ass man should not be bothered by likeness to something like that as long as it makes sense design-wise. I do not get this Fortnite reference because I never cared for it and, sincerely and with no offense intended, neither should you if you are not into that game. I get the argument that huge headers waste screen space and it’s painful for users with smaller devices, I give you that. And I heard some reports on removed features but two days into using it I have not missed anything yet (but everyone has their own use case). And for the rest - I like the contrast of dark background and purple, so it does look good for me and I honestly don’t get why people are flipping out so much on somethin
The new logo is so bad I had to buy an Icon pack from Play store that still had the old one in - unfortunately I still have to see this catastrophe of an icon on Android Auto as the icon pack can’t change that. Frankly it’s embarrassing to let anyone else see it - might have to switch music services if Deezer don’t realise that this is their Bud Lite moment….
