🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Deezer Premium/Family 🚨 (Update)
Further to my note of a few hours ago, having rebooted since the last re-install of Deezer app, I have just managed to create a shortcut on the desktop.Did it by dragging the Deezer tile in the Start menu up the menu and onto the desktop. Which means I now have added it to the startup folder as well. And it launched on start-up.Job’s a good ‘un!Why it’s done it today and not before, I can only attribute to having posted in this forum!
Hi there. I can’t work out how to have Deezer 5.10.0 ‘Launch on Startup’ on my new Windows 10 machine (Dell, running Windows 10 Pro; version 21H1, OS build 19043.985; Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0).I’ve flicked the toggle on the app countless timesI tried to add it to the startup in Windows using the settings or even dragging a shortcut into the folder in Appdata but I can’t find a Deezer executable anywhere on the machine. Even though I’m listening to it as I type. Makes no sense to me.A side-bar of the above is that I can’t put a shortcut to the app on my desktop, due not being able to find the damn executable. The other annoyance is that I have Deezer pinned to the Taskbar (and the Start menu, but not on Start-up) but every now and then - at least once a day - it crashes and vanishes from the taskbar.Often this is when I minimise, but also when I drag the app from screen 2 to screen 1, which involves crossing the taskbar as screen 2 is above screen 1.A last point -

One issue I find with exporting to CSV using Tune My Music is a character set issue. If you have an apostrophe or other non-alphanumeric character in the data, it tends to cause problems with the Album titles. For me this is a pain because I tend to save one song per album to a plpaylist. It’s weird when Slayer have ‘Abba’s Greatest Hits’ as an entry :)
As another potential transfer from Spotify (TEN years of subscription), I’d like to add my voice to this chorus. My use case is slightly different I think, but in Spotify it uses the same ‘Connect’ functionality. I have a work laptop which does not connect to my hi-fi. However, in Spotify I can use it to drive my phone, TV, or another PC desktop app which is connected to the hi-fi. Like others here have said - the sound quality of Deezer is excellent (and I’d probably pay the hi-fi upgrade), so this is another £15 a month you’re missing out on. To summarise: Any Deezer-enabled device or application should be able to control the output of any other Deezer-enabled app or device on the same account.
