Love Sonos and can solidly recommend the Era 100 and Era 300 speakers. They work seamlessly with deezer and the sound quality is excellent. One Era 100 will fill an average room nicely. The Era 300 is considerably more money, but is an enormous step up.

I use them mostly through the Sonos app, occasionally via AirPlay, and can speak highly of their integration with Sonos Voice Control.

I have tried a number of other options, including HomePods and Echo speakers, and Sonos wins hands down. It’s not even close.


Earlier this year I bought a Ikea/Sonos Symfonisk speaker. I’m really enjoying this speaker. The sound is great and the speaker looks good in the living room.

 

Like @GropplerZorn I do use the Sonos app most of the time when I’m using my Chromebook or Android phone. And sometime I do use my work iPhone and then I’ll use Deezer with AirPlay.

This is my first Sonos speaker and I really enjoy it.

I only hope that they will improve their Android app (iOS and MacOS apps are fine).

 

 


I have used different Sonos devices during several years.

I am disappointed by the lack of functionality offered when using deezer with the Sonos App compared to the functionalities you get when using the Deezer App (for ex., where are the different sorts of Flow...).

It seems to be the same thing on any third party devices.

Not a good point for me when you pay and do not benefit from all the value added functionalities. It’s furthermore the case when you like to discover new artists, titles…

I also realized that always needing a smartphone, a tablet or a PC, is not as easy, as natural, as using an old hifi system, accessible to anyone directly (Friends, Children, Grand Parents). Why not including a nice 7” / 10” touch screen to make the devices totaly autonomous?

Because of that I am really thinking about other solutions, streaming services…


Yesterday i became a proud owner of a new Sonos Ray soundbar.

Very nice! Great sound, easy installation and works perfect with our TV.

 

 


 

Hello !

Today I received my portable Sonos ROAM speaker and now I’m proud owner of one peace. 
I use ROAM through the Sonos app on my android and PC and listen Deezer music. For now works great .
Sound is fantastic .

That’s great news! I use both Sonos One and Era 100 in my home and they are so convenient to play from my phone.


And hopefully with the new update on May 7th your experience gets even better.

At this time you can download the new iOS Sonos app or use the webapp on a Mac or PC.

First impression after 20 minutes of testing: Both are working fine.

I really like the webapp. Because the old Sonos S2 app on a Chromebook was very slow. It took more than a couple of minutes for the first start.

Now, the webapp, starts in seconds and you can use it.

And now it looks a lot better and works better, finally after so many years (S2 was first released in 2020!)

Only the Android app isn’t available yet.

It won’t stay open on my Chromebook. I finally ended up deleting it and will wait for a newer version as I primarily use the app on my phones anyway.

I agree though, @awesomemac , this is a considerable improvement all around, although I did not have the complaints others had about the previous app.

I’m just happy that my preferred music service, deezer, has what I feel is the best integration with my preferred speaker system.

But when reading the comments about the update on X, well, it looks like a lot of people aren’t very happy about this update.

 


Question on the new Sonos app on Android (which is a bit of a disaster).

When  viewing / playing Deezer tracks / albums / playlists via the Sonos app, the context menus are now very sparse, and most of the functionality has been removed. For example, I can’t add a track to a Deezer playlist now, but I could last week.

Is this something to be fixed on the Sonos side, or does Deezer need to apply an update to its integration with Sonos?

The webapp for me is inconsistent, sometimes I get this, and even when it loads it won’t move music from room to room.

The iOS and Android apps are also showing a number of inconsistencies. I’m just going to be patient as Sonos and its partners works through this.

I am mildly tempted to unbox one of my HomePods in the meantime. 😳

I’m using the old MacOS app and it’s work as a charm … since Sonos app is in “PLS” and Deezer Connect … well … it’s not connecting to the major multiroom vendor for the last 20 years ….

Most of the Deezer actions are definitely not back. Things like adding songs to playlists and suchlike. You can add to favourites but that's about it.

No idea if it's a Sonos or Deezer side fix that is required, but it's pretty annoying, truth be told. 


Yeah, whose side is this on? Deezer or Sonos? If it’s Sonos it probably won’t get fixed anytime soon. If it’s Deezer it would seem like they could go and add back some of their playlist functionality to Sonos. We really need this.

They are absolutely useless over there. I and others have raised it. Nothing happens. Sonos are in a complete mess at the moment. They're not even sticking to their release schedule.
