Hi,

Does Deezer Connect support Yamaha R-N800A streaming amplifier?

I see it supports R-N803 which is very similar to N800A, but I cannot connect to it directly from my Deezer app on Android. I’m only able playing Deezer music through Yamaga Musiccast app, which is not good.

Thanks in advance.

Hey @Victor Hunting

You're probably referring to this (closed) thread:

I'm surprised that Deezer Connect is even supposed to work with a "Non-Deezer" device. Actually, Connect is only supposed to control other smartphones, tablets, Deezer Desktop or Deezer Web. At least that's what this article suggests:

Maybe @Jaime. or @Leonídia.Deezer can shed some light on this. ✌️

Hi @E0xc815 ,
Yes, I’m referring to the thread you have mentioned. And it says  than “Deezer connect is compatible with a Yamaha R-N803 amplifier”, but has some issues. I expect it supports my gear, too.

If Deezer Connect supposed to control mobiles and Deezer Desktop only, it’s very said. I expect it to work as a Spotify Connect and support many devices from many manufactures, especially amps, streamers etc.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Hi @Leonídia.Deezer ,
Is any plan to add support for this device? Yamaha devices are very popular.

Hi @Victor Hunting, thank you for reaching out again.

At the moment, I don't have any information about plans to add support for this device soon.

However, Deezer is constantly working to expand support for different devices, so it's possible that support for Yamaha devices could be considered in the future.
