It is possible to connect Chromecast audio to Ethernet using an Ethernet Adapter.
I used the Micro USB to 100Mbps Ethernet Adapter from Ugreen for this.
And it works fine, so I no longer use WiFi, but directly on Internet.
Tip: Don't forget to reset the Chromecast audio.
