This seems like a clunky way to do this anyway. Is there some reason Deezer can't just recognise and play MP3s already on my phone? Google's Play Music app does that, so I don't understand why Deezer can't be modified to do likewise.
But, for now, the instructions for uploading MP3s aren't working for me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ray
Sorry you've experienced the above. When you say it isn't working, could you please be a bit more specific to see if we can help? Do you get an error message?
I select which tracks to add, after making sure all of them are MP3's
Nothing happening after that, no error message, no tracks being shown as added.
Previously I selected all of my track and pressed open, one by one was showing as loaded etc, but no nothing is happening.
Please try the troubleshooting mentioned on my reply to you. If it doesn't help, please let me know and provide me with your OS, device and app version details

I have the same problem. Can you please make that reply public so we can all see it.
See this related support article:

The article mentions the Flash player to be necessary. If that is still true, it would not work if you have uninstalled Adobe Flash already which will be disabled anyhow at the end of this year. It does not seem to be true though, I just could upload another MP3 file in the web player without Adobe Flash on my computer.
Also note that the upload process is not shown with a progress bar or estimated time for the upload to finish. The uploaded file will be automatically added at the bottom of the song list then which can take a while depending on your internet upload speed. You should try it with one file first, and if this works, you can also highlight multiple files of an album or folder in the upload window to upload them in bulk.
Thanks for that. I managed to do it one at a time eventually.
Hello guys. How can we upload MP3s to Deezer in times where Flash Player is now long gone?

Hi there!
The problem isn't the Flash but the bitrate of files.
I converted all to CBR and upload worked fine.
Pay attention to bitrate: VBR will not upload!
;-)
Good to know! Thanks
I have the same bug - uploaded mp3 is not added into the list.
Accessing Deezer for Windos as well Deezer on desktop browser (Chrome)
Uppload one mp3 (CBR)
Wait for upload and nothing is happening. You will not see the mp3 added to the list.
On Deezer Windows, sometiomes restarting Deezer (Tray icon → Quit) you get the refresh.
On Deezer Web, CTRL+F5 after some minutes will refresh the list and the mp3 may appear.
Tested on Windows 10 as well Windows 11, Deezer 5.30.350
Hi everyone,
Same problems here.
So I tried to upload a long 2hr+ mp3 (02:05:23 to be exact) and ofcourse it didn't work at first, even though it was wel under 200MB (it was 176MB).
After doing some research and finding this post I started converting the mp3 in Audacity (the best free audio editing tool I know and love for years, or maybe even decades.. fuck I'm getting old lol):
First I converted the fill mp3 to cbr (see posts above) and tried to upload it on the website: No luck, even after multiple tries.
After that I started to get the suspicion that the length of the audio may be at play here (no pun intended). So I first chopped the mp3 in half: No luck... So I chopped it in half again (so 4 parts in total, each approx. 31:21 long and 44MB): and go figure, my suspicion was right, it uploaded!
I've uploaded the files one by one, gave it a minute or two to upload (just to be sure, don't know how long it takes to process it on Deezer's side) and pressed CTRL+F5 - as suggested by
This was uploaded in Chrome on a Windows 10 PC (but I don't think that this makes s difference).
I hope this helps for others, good luck y'all!
KR,
Wes
I’m uploading my MP3s a few at a time. All CBR. I’ve tried the web app (Firefox) and the desktop app. Some of them upload but they are grayed out and I can’t play them. I wish there was a progress indicator of some sort, or some indication of why I can’t play the tracks.
Edit: I think I probably just jumped the gun, it seems like they’re playable now. Hopefully it works for the rest of them! Still wish there was a progress indicator.
Hi
I'm pleased to hear that everything is working well again.
The problem is that the files are uploading but it just seems like they aren’t because there is no ‘upload’ notification after you select the upload button. Wait a bit and you will probably see the file appear after a few minutes. Deezer should put a file uploading……….. notification
Thanks for your feedback
The way I track progress in Chrome when uploading files
- Open My MP3s
- Open dev tools (F12)
- Click network
- Clear what is displayed to make it easier
- Select all your MP3s and upload
- You will see requests pending one at a time for each file which indicates it is busy uploading
Hello
After uploading all files, you just need to refresh the page.
Thanks for sharing
I’m just reporting that I have the same issue. Main reason I use Deezer is because I have a a fair number of MP3s that I need to upload to be able to listen to on a streaming service, so not being able to upload anything is unfortunate.
Tried different steps, re-encoded to cbr, I tried different browsers and computers. Nothing I do can get files to upload, they begin, and I see placeholders on the website, but nothing finishes, and looking at my network traffic, nothing is happening.
If on the off chance it was actually working but really really really really slow I would have just waited, but i found a solution that just works and had to cancel my subscription. So actually having a upload user interface is probably worth considering.
Hi
Could you please share two tracks that you're struggling to upload in a zip file? This way, we can test it on our end to see if we can replicate the same issue.
