If the equalizer is not working on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Restart the phone: Sometimes, restarting the phone can resolve issues with the equalizer. Turn off your phone, wait a few seconds, and then turn it back on.

  2. Check the music player: Make sure you're using a music player that has an equalizer built-in, such as the default music player on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro. If you're using a third-party music player, check to see if the equalizer is turned on and properly configured.

  3. Update the music player: If you're using a third-party music player, check for updates and install any available updates to resolve any compatibility issues with the equalizer.

  4. Check for updates: Make sure that your Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is running the latest software version. Check for updates and install any available updates to resolve any compatibility issues with the equalizer.

  5. Clear the cache and data of the music player: Go to Settings > Apps > Music Player > Storage > Clear cache and Clear data. This will reset the music player and may resolve the issue.

If none of these steps resolve the issue, you can try using a different equalizer app from the Google Play Store, or you can contact Xiaomi support for further assistance.

Hello,

If the equalizer is not working on your Xiaomi Note 5 Pro but works fine with Spotify, it could be an issue with the music player you are using. Some music players do not have built-in equalizer settings, or the equalizer settings may not be properly configured.

You may want to try using a different music player that has equalizer settings or check the settings of your current music player to ensure that the equalizer is enabled and properly configured.

If the issue persists, you may need to troubleshoot further by checking for software updates, resetting the device, or seeking assistance from Xiaomi's support team.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Hello,

The same problem and more are happening to me.

The current version of Deezer application is unable to function/use the Equalizer and Sound Effects features of my Samsung Note 4 phone with Android 6.0.1. However, the Spotify application on my phone functions/uses very well and without any problem the Equalizer and Sound Effects features of the phone. I found a temporary but exhausting solution for this: I first open the Equalizer features of the phone by the Spotify, then the Deezer begins to be able to use the Equalizer function of the phone for a while, but just for 1 or 2 songs, then the Deezer turns off again the Equalizer, so that I have to repeat my temporary solution, which is very unsatisfying.

If the problem is not fixed soon, and I unfortunately see that it is still not fixed during many past years and years since 2019 when this topic is opened, I will probably change from the Deezer to the Spotify.

Hello @Tufan T. A. thanks for your message.
Unfortunately our teams are already aware of this but the fix as not been released yet.

Hello @Tufan T. A. thanks for your message.
Unfortunately our teams are already aware of this but the fix as not been released yet.

Dear Leonidia,

Thank you for your kind reply and for your providing information to us.

However, the mentioned problem is first expressed in the Deezer Community in the year 2019! Thence, 4 years are passed until today that your teams became aware of the problem. I am very surprised that the Deezer officials are still responding to the each bring up of the problem into question in the Community with the same response of "our teams are already aware of this but the fix as not been released yet" for 4 years. What a kind of problem is this being too difficult to fix it?! I have also the Spotify, it hasn't any such a problem and it works the Equalizer properly as it must be. I am very surprised that one of the leading music providers worldwide such as the Deezer lives such a big difficulty to fix a basic musical component of its service such as simply providing the proper functioning of the Equalizer of a phone. That's all that is expecting.

Kind regards,

Tufan T. A.

Hi @Tufan T. A. in fact, this is a problem we've had for some time. there have been back and forwards with this, as I am remember a fix we launched end of the last year that solved a major issue occurring with the Equalizer in some Android devices.

Nevertheless, as you can imagine, it is not always easy to fulfill all the requests as sometimes solutions depend on third part companies and other times they are hard to fix as they only affect specific brands, models, version of Android, etc….

I have shared your feedback with our teams and I can just hope they can push forward this fix.

Hi Friends at Deezer,

The problem that the Deezer doesn't function properly and even doesn't function at all the Equalizer of the android phones still continues. Indeed, this problem is first mentioned in the community nearly 4 years ago. And the problem still couln't be fixed yet permanently and thouroughly. The Deezer responds always same: "we are sorry, we are aware of the problem, our developpers work on it, one difficulty is that there are many types of android phones, we are taking services from third parties and then we are bounded to them, etc etc". The result?!: A basic music component problem and even a simple one isn't still resolved since 4 years!

Deezer is unable to function the Equalizer of the phone, but Spotify does, Tidal does, YT Music does, the others do. What a kind of problem is this that is too difficult to fix it?! Since 4 years! I suggest to Deezer to change both its relevant underqualified developpers and its relevant underqualified third parties, and also to get the developpers of the Spotify or Tidal or YT Music and to begin to work with their third parties. If not, my yearly subscription will end after 2 weeks, I will change from Deezer to Spotify or Tidal or YT Music or another one.

Kind regards,

Tufan T. A.

If your device's built-in equalizer is not working as expected, consider trying a third-party equalizer app from the Google Play Store. There are many equalizer apps available that can enhance your audio experience on Android devices. If you still need help you can get me in touch.

Had deezer for about a year, with the equaliser. Now it's gone. (Galaxy android)

How can I enjoy my music, my way? Or am I not getting what I used to, for the same price?

Hello @wayne bilby, thank you for sharing your experience with us.

Deezer app doesn’t have a native equalizer built in. You will only find the Equalizer setting under the Audio menu if your device as a built in.

Did you changed phone? Or maybe a major update of the firmware of the phone made the equalizer unavailable?

You can find more details about it in the support page Equalizer.

Nevertheless. i also want to highlight there is bug when you have the option Equalizer that is regarding the experience to keep saved the adjustments you do on the Equalizer.

For that, our developers are currently working to resolve this issue. However, we don’t have yet an estimated date for the fix.

Equalizer not working on Xiaomi note 5 pro, but works fine with Spotify, onstream for smart tv

Have you tried using different audio output devices (e.g., headphones, speakers, or Bluetooth devices) to see if the equalizer works with them?
