This just started happening to me recently.

Whenever I try to launch the Deezer Android Auto app, every audio clip sound corrupted. I don’t know how to describe it aside from “choppy, stuttery playback”.

No other audio app does this (Youtube Music works fine).

Download quality is set to standard, I’ve re-installed it on my phone and I’ve even tried it on a different loaner car (same model, newer year).

It’s so bad, I’m considering leaving deezer.  Anyone have any similar experiences?

Just to understand: Do you use Deezer on your phone, connected and using Android Auto?

Yes, that is correct.

I am attempting to play-back via the Interface in my car, not on my phone.

However, I did try one thing yesterday - I played audio through the interface on my phone, and that worked fine.

So it feels like something from the Android Auto side of things.

I use Deezer with an Android phone with Android Auto every day for 4-5 hours and I don’t experience any issues. A bit of a cliche question: Did you update Android Auto on your phone and do you have the most recent Deezer update?

Hey there, @awesomemac

Yep to both.
Been using Deezer for years now, and this is the first time I’ve had issues.

What’s your Android app version?

A fix has been released on the last Beta version from November 29th (v8.0.27.4)

Yep, that’s the version I’m on.

Hi @Ash Matheson is the problem fixed for you now?
Thanks

Hey @Jaime.Deezer ,

So, I didn’t do anything special, but now it appears to be working correctly.  It’s been about a week of regular play (music/podcasts) while driving and no recurring issues.

I’ll take it as a hiccup in the system?

It seems like there's an issue with Deezer on Android Auto. Try clearing the app’s cache, ensuring both Deezer and Android Auto are updated, and checking your audio settings.
