The song that impacted you the most -THE THREAD 🔉
I don’t think it’s incompetence. I think they just don’t care about the Logitech Media Server Community. Â
i am in the same boat. a loyal deezer user. i guess now the only option is qobuz. would love for deezer to work though. there are almost 120k actives using squeezebox.com. most ofthem now will be looking for a solution through LMS. Â
so it looking back on this thread, it has been going on for 3 years -- talking about a hihi family option. if someone could respond back to me about the realistic options here. it was only 2 months ago that Rudi had a positive response. if this is going to come out in the few months or so, i can wait and i really don’t want to jump to tidal. Â
even tital is a bit at double dipping. i wish these guys would have some empathy of a family, multiple devices logged in at the same time, and family members moving around to different settings. it’s totally unreasonable to expect someone to continue to log in and log out of every device after they use it, and how does that work when you have a whole house solution? different family members rotate to the same set devices. each person may have a different need but that need could be fulfilled via playlists.what i really need is just one family account with the ability to stream on 3 devices at the same time. then who cares who is at each device?  so a good family hifi plan should be one account for 15/mo, then add 5 dollars a month for each additional simultaneous streaming. but the key is just one account. this is reasonable and doesn’t force having to sign in and sign out all the time. Â
i just looked at tital. tital family gives me six user accounts for hifi for 30 bucks. so i could use one account for the whole house solution. and my wife and i could have separate accounts.   and my girl could have an account of her own. this sounds simple to me. deezer hifi is 15 dollars. if i wanted to do the same, i would be at 60 dollars a month with deezer hifi as i would need 4 accounts. can someone from deezer just confirm this please?
ok so let me get this straight, i have a deezer hifi account which is expensive enough. the only way for me and my wife to listen to music at the same time is to have two hifi accounts? this would happen maybe an hour or two a day at most? i also have one child that will probably be using music soon. And to add to the mix, I have deezer hifi attached to my logitech media server. well, what happens if i want to listen to hifi from my android account because I left the house for a walk, but my wife is at home listening to the music server? would that mean i have to log off to the account attached to whole house option on the logitech media server, then log on to my mobile phone? then do the reverse when I get home?this is getting really complicated really fast. i just can’t imagine that the expectation is to continue to log on and off from multiple devices… what a pain… Â
Hi there, Manuel Innocent Thank you for your feedback. We need more users to vote and support this idea as others are currently ahead at the moment.
Hi Rudi. How many more votes do you need to seriously consider this? Ickstream is now dead as of end of Q1 2019 and many users were using Ickstream to accomplish this. I know Tidal does do Hifi with Logitech Media Server/Squeezebox. I've asked people to vote but the forums for squeezebox/LMS really only get used when someone has an issue -- these types of things are a set it and leave it type of service, thus I know there are many who would like this functionality.
hey guys. unfortunately ickstream no longer works with lms. I know there were a lot of users using deezer Hifi via lms, a lot more than 14. I am going to send this thread to everyone to see if they will vote for it. thanks.
this is actually really useful for podcasts and audiobooks.
So I think that having a history of what's been played is a really nice feature to have for many many reasons. If there was that feature, this would become less important as you can log onto your new device and immediately see what you played last, click and go... I put a feature request for a history. please look at it and vote.
if deezer had Last.FM scrobbing feature, that is the easiest as all those statistics can come from last.fm. it's actually really cool.
yea so my flow keeps playing Christmas music. I love Christmas music and have a pretty good Christmas playlist, but come on Deezer, only during Christmas!
