I was playing with the equalize volume setting on the Deezer desktop app, and it seems to normalize A song, meaning that within a song the highs won't be so high and the lows won't be so low. This is nice and all (though I don't use it), but I think what is really missing from Deezer is normalizing between songs: a song's highs can't be much higher than the previous song's highs. Our ears really don't like that. So it's not really about volume normalization in the conventional sense I think, it's more like volume standardization.
I’m having the same issue with Android Auto + Deezer. From what I can tell, the issue is that when Android Auto launches Deezer, it does not cause the app to load your collection (playlists, albums, etc). If I open Deezer on my phone before connecting to Android Auto, or even while already connected to Android Auto, and then go into my playlists, they all immediately appear on my car’s screen. In my case,I’m not using Deezer in offline mode at all, I just have mobile data turned off at the phone level. So it seems to me this issue has no relation to the offline mode. Also, the fact that playlists immediately appear on the car if I access “playlists” on my phone tells me that the app is not somehow broken when it’s opened by Google Auto, instead it seems some of the actions that are run when you browse it on your phone are not triggered when Android Auto opens it. Maybe the loading of playlists et al is triggered by the UI itself, and so Android Auto does not trigger it. *shrug*Edit: An
